Vibrant and colourful colours everywhere!

That's a popcorn booth, which I think is really adorable!!!

This place is just so pretty and invigorating. For as long as you are within its bounds, you will kind of forget what sadness is HAHA

The Sea King~

Here we were, in the underwater world of Ariel and her family. Absolutely in love with how this enclosed area is scattered with lights in a myriad of colours.

Anyway, most of the attractions in Mermaid Lagoon are meant for the kids lolol.

HELLO CHIPMUNK!!!! (The only mascot that I took picture with in Disneysea lol)

Contrary to the fantasy side of Mermaid Lagoon, this place is closer to reality, but more adventurous!

My friend, Melanie, got us fast-past tickets for the Journey to the Centre of the Earth ride. We managed to skip the freaking long queue and got on the ride without queuing up for long.
By the way, let me share my experience of the ride with you.
So before getting onto the ride, honestly I was super nervous. I don't think I am the adventurous kind who thrives on high-speed rides as such. I am afraid of roller coasters and the other big-thrillers, but a part of me always wanted to try them, despite how frightened I know I would be. When it's almost our turn to get onto the ride, I immediately wanted out because an uneasiness quickly set in and I really wanted to throw up lololol!! But Melanie and her mum insisted that I should give it a go. They tried to calm me down by saying that the ride isn't scary at all, and I would totally regret if I were to leave now.
Ok so I told myself to calm the f*** down, and that the ride is not a big deal at all.
And I boarded what I believed would send me straight to hell.
VERY FORTUNATELY it wasn't as scary as I expected it to be, and it was a super short ride! It was was slow at the beginning. It crawled steadily through pre-drilled tunnels into the heart of the earth, where we could see glowing crystals, strange insects, mushrooms and other fictional creatures. Then, ride accelerated right when a gigantic monster appeared, and it zoomed to the top of the mountain out of the tunnel in crazy velocity, sparing my fearful self a breathtaking glimpse of the sky...before sending you back to the surface, where the ride finally ended. It was incredibly thrilling and fun!!!! I did not regret a single bit for going onto the ride because it nothing less than AMAZING - hands down! It was such a masterpiece of stagecraft; subtly combining light, sound, heat, and motion in creation of an exhilarating multi-sensory experience.
Also, I've found a video of the ride lol!!! I had no guts to open my eyes when the ride got faster, so I had to throw my thumbs up for this brave guy who actually filmed the entire journey haha!!
After conquering what I believed was the best ride here, we thought we ought to go for something not as intense hahahaa!
So we went to catch a live performance in the Big Bang Beat! Oops, sorry I meant Big Band Beat. (Pardon my Bigbang obsession lolol)

Taking pictures is not allowed when the show is ongoing. :(
Anyway, it was a great musical show infused with a lot of dancing and Jazz music. If you are a sucker for any of those, then you're in for a good time!

Got a churro hehehe.

Our next ride - Temple of the Crystal Skull!
*no that's NOT the Crystal Skull*

Relative to Journey to the Centre of the Earth and Tower of Terror, the excitement-level of this ride was really mild la.

Wah I love this shot by Mel! *Thank you Mel hahahaha

In the evening, we were back in the Mermaid Lagoon to catch yet another show!

Yes, the King Triton's concert!! The queue was painfully long though. T_T

Met this kawaii girl while we were queuing up for the show! She is super adorable and not shy at all omg. When I greeted konnichiwa to her, she responded very politely!!! Super cute!!!

Again, we were not allowed to take pictures during the show, but the show was great!!
*I mean, look at that stage! Isn't it sick?!!*

The show was performed in Japanese, yes, even the songs lol. I think they should have the shows in English because hey, international tourists need some love too! ...but then again, maybe their intention was to make the show more locally-flavoured so as to render the audience the kind of exclusiveness they will not find outside Japan. Despite the language barrier, I enjoyed the show very much because the performers were quite engaging and interactive! One big plus was that it really made me feel like I was watching a show underwater haha!
After the performance, we went on the Flounder's Flying Fish coaster, which was a super kiddy ride la hahaha!!

Then Mel challenged me to go for a 360 degree loop ride called Raging Spirits, because she got fast-past passes for it. Again, she managed to convince me lol. The ride was really not as fast as I thought it would be, and I actually enjoyed it hahahaha!! The 360 degree loop was thrilling and fun, and it really made me feel as if the world has been turned upside down and that my blood was all pumped from all parts of my body to my brain. I kind of almost died. However, there wasn't any special effects or decor along the ride, except some smoke at the end of it.

Jasmine's Flying Carpets after Raging Spirits!

Nothing much about this ride, but it was so fun "flying" up and down through the breezy weather.

Went for the Sindbad's Storybook Voyage because there was no queue for it at all lol.

It was boring and the ride was super slow, but I guess kids will enjoy it.

A show that you totally cannot miss at night!!!!! It's performed on the water with a lot of special effects that will keep you in awe - throughout the show!

So wonderful. I was absolutely astonished. T___T (Watch my vlog for the snippets of the show!)

Toy Story Mania looks so beautiful at night with all the golden lights. :')

Thank you Melanie again for getting the fast-past passes for the Toy Story Mania 4D ride. The queue was crazy outside, but we managed to skip all of it and entered the ride without having to wait for 1 hour lol. It was a very interactive ride, because you get to play a lot of entertaining 3D mini games while cruising on a spinning vehicle.
Ending my post with a vlog!! You'll get to watch some parts of the firework performance in it too!
Thank you Tokyo Disneysea for all the great memories. :')
