August is my birthday month.
So I had an early birthday celebration with my family the day before my birthday, and another one with Teddy on my birthday, then a belated one with my beloved uni mates the day after. So I had three celebrations arranged three days in a row (there are more celebrations actually hahahah...which I will blog about very soon, so stay tuned hahaha!). Words really can't describe how thankful I am for everyone who took the time and effort to celebrate my birthday! ♥♥♥
This time, special thanks go to my bestie, Coey, for planning a birthday dinner for me, and the rest of the gang for making it a really memorable one! Traders Hotel was actually our very final resort (of a few other choices made). Initially, Coey wanted to bring us to 8 Gourmets Gala, but the restaurant was fully booked for a private event that night. So, she shifted the plans to Hilton Hotel, which was also fully booked at that time wtf. Then, Coey managed to book a table for the 5 of us in Cedar on 15. Unfortunately, there are road blocks everywhere in KL, which blocked our way to Cedar on 15!!! T__T
Why were there so many hurdles!?!
At one point, I felt so frustrated because we were stuck in a massive road-block-jam, and our plans aren't getting anywhere (literally, thanks to the jam). And I felt so bad for my friends too. At last, we decided to go to Traders Hotel since it's the only place within our reach haha!

Gobo Upstairs Lounge & Grill is well-known for its grills (as you should know very well by now after reading the title HAHAHA), so I opted for the Australian Black Angus Sirloin, served in 250gm.

Not only grills of course - they also serve other dishes such as seafood, pasta, etc.

My gorgeous friends - Annie and Elaine.

Shanice, yours truly and Coey!

As usual, complimentary bread was served right after our order had been taken. Btw, you can have as many servings of the bread as you wish! ;)

A mini plate of appetiser for each of us!

Coey and Elaine ordered the same dish - Lobster Ravioli. The portion was a little too small for its price (which is a whopping RM73) and sadly, it didn't taste remarkable.

Shanice's pick - Seafood Risotto (RM72). She was absolutely pleased with this dish! She thought the risotto tasted exquisite and the seafood was really fresh!

Annie went for the Chef's Pasta (RM72), which consists of pasta (duh), asparagus, mushroom, egg yolk with truffle oil and shaved truffle. It does seem like an ideal dish for those who enjoy truffles and vege.

My medium-rare Australian Black Angus Sirloin with Black Peppercorn Sauce! (Rm118)
The sauce was recommended by the waiter, and I really should have thanked him for a good recommendation!! The meat was tender and succulent, while the sauce and mixed vegetables gave the already-tasty dish an extra kick of flavour.

Hehehe happily dissecting my yummy dish! :P

I totally did not realise that the waiter was coming to me with a cake as I was busy chit-chatting with my girls!! The surprise came in like a wrecking ball!
*no deliberate reference intended*

Wah I love this picture. Thanks Elaine hahahahahaha!

Making a birthday wish!

It wouldn't be literally a happy birthday without them. Thank you girls for the birthday treat + surprises!! :')
