Hello world! Today I'll be blogging about two very popular attractions in Seoul: Petite France and Nami Island. Many of you have asked me, through email, for a guide to go to these two places, so I will try to include as much details as possible!! :D
First of all, Petite France and Nami Island are actually linked on the same line via the Gapyeong Tour Bus. So you can actually visit these 2 places in 1 day!!
From Gangnam station to Cheongpyeong station (the nearest station to Petite France)
Direction [By subway] Depart from Gangnam station, take Line 2 towards Konkuk University, line change at Konkuk University, take Line 7 towards Sangbong station, line change again at Sangbong station and take the Gyeongchun Line towards Cheongpyeong station.

Oh hello, little prince! |

When we finally decided that we were done touring around in Petite France, we left and took the Gapyeong shuttle bus to Nami Island!
...
NAMI ISLAND
Anyway, the Gapyeong shuttle bus DOES NOT drive you directly to Nami Island, it will drop you at a station where you can buy your ferry tickets to Nami Island.
So there are several ways that you can go to Nami Island from the station:
By ferry (just a 5-minute ride): 4000 won/person
By zipwire: 38,000 won/person
Well, since the zipwire option is so costly, we went for the first option instead.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by rows and rows of luscious greens. It almost literally feels like you are embraced by the warm hands of nature.![]() |

It's definitely a great spot for photo-shooting too, so be sure to get your camera fully-charged! |

Alright, I am going to tell you guys my unpleasant experience in Nami Island.
When I was happily taking photos around, suddenly a freaking bee-like-creature flew by and IT FREAKING STUNG ME!!! When it flew near me, I could literally hear its scary buzz, so I hauled ass!!! The moment I got stung by the creature, I was like: Oh shit, I got stung by a bee, oh shit!! It really hurt and for a while I thought I was going to die.
Okay I didn't really think I was gonna die.
I have never got stung in my life, so in the spur of the moment all I did was panic lolol. To be honest, I felt so dejected after that and all I wanted was to just leave the place.
Then, Joanne brought me to an information centre to ask for help and luckily there was a Korean girl, who can converse in Mandarin, to assist us!!
I was told that it's very common to run into insects around Nami Island, and luckily I wasn't actually stung by a bee (some other insect instead), otherwise the situation would not be the same. Then the girl helped to apply some ointment to relieve the pain and the swelling.

SO MY ADVICE FOR YOU IS:
Apply a bee repellent to keep the bees/insects away!!!
I don't know why it chose to sting me...I did nothing to harm it/its family. T__T
But, personally, I am very prone to mosquito bites and it seems like the mosquitoes love me more than anyone else. I'm not sure if this is why the "bee" stung me instead of anyone else?
Anyway, the incident did ruin my mood a bit, but we still tried to walk into the park again because there was still so much more to explore...you know, once bitten stung, twice shy. I was really afraid that the insect would come and attack me again and I freaked out every time I heard the buzz coming near me. Each buzz registered by my ears really did get translated to a background music cued for a psychopath's murder scene. T_T
We then quickly took a few pictures before we left lolol.

This is me trying to fake a smile for the camera after the incident. I didn't want to waste all my time there without taking any nice photos!! |
