Well, Tokyo is known for being a shopping heaven to many people.
But two most important questions remain, WHERE TO SHOP? And WHAT TO SHOP?

So in this blog post, I'm going to share with you some of my personal favourite stores, specifically in Harajuku. Get your pen and paper ready and start jotting down these few places that you don't wanna miss in Harajuku! :P

Let's begin!

wts

Some of my personal favourite shops:

1) SPINNS
SPINNS has several branches, and the one I went to was in Cute Cube, Takeshita Street. I was so in love with this shop that in this shop alone, I have already spent more than 1 hour by just wandering around!! It's a really huge store selling super Japanese street-styled garments!! You can find all kinds of fashion items here, including accessories such as caps, bags, chokers, socks, etc!

There's a huge Bape store in Omotesando! It's quite difficult to locate this store, but well you can always google for its location!!

4) PIN NAP
While vintage clothing isn't really popular in Malaysia, apparently it's a hit in Japan!
PIN NAP is a vintage clothing store located on the Ura-Harajuku street. This store is full of GEMS - bomber jackets, 90s graphic tees, pastel grunge pieces, spiked trainers all lurk within this shop. So if you are a vintage-fashion lover, welcome home.

As a hard-core fan of everything with logos and patches, this JACKET totally took my breath (soul, and everything inside me) away! I was like OMG GIMME THAT JACKET ALREADY.

IMG_0826
Inside the store lies all these vintage sweatshirts with styles dated all the way back to the 90s.

8) ADIDAS ORIGINALS
With an extensive range of apparels, I am sure there's something you would like to bring home if you are a fan of Adidas Originals, like me! I was told by a staff that this Adidas Originals store focuses more on FASHION and street style, so in this store, you can find things like a maxi skirt and sweatshirts for casual wear!

Address: 6-14-7, Jingu-mae, Shibuya-ku, 神宮前 Tokyo, 東京都 150-0001, Japan

9) TOKYU PLAZA
Located at the Jingumae crossing where Omotesando and Harajuku intersect, Tokyu Plaza is a multi-level fashion fortress. This shopping complex houses fashion brands like American Eagle, Tommy Hilfiger as well as local brands like The Shel'tter (my fav!)! Besides, there's also STARBUCKS on the top of the building, where you can chill and relax while enjoying the calm breeze of the city.

10) LA FORET
La Foret is a shopping mall standing right opposite Tokyu Plaza! Housing several international as well as local fashion and beauty brands, La Foret gravitates more to the high-end hemisphere of the planet of fashion. So if you have extra budget to spare, here's a place I would recommend you to shop in!

Some brands that you can find in La Foret: Adidas, Jeffery Campbell, Boy London, Ladurée cosmetics, Balmain, Balenciaga

Website: http://www.laforet.ne.jp/en/

Alright, so these are my top 10 favourite places to shop at in Harajuku! Actually, there are a lot more shops in Harajuku, but if I were to list them one by one in this blog post, this post will probably take you 3 days to read. Consider your time saved! By me! :p

One final advice though: when you are in Harajuku, just shop in/around TAKESHITA STREET!!! It will be nothing short of an exciting shopping journey, I promise. ;)

CLINIQUE SUPER CITY BLOCK BB CUSHION COMPACT REVIEW

$

I've a very exciting announcement to make.

My favourite brand, Clinique, has finally come out with its very first cushion compact!!
Yes, it's 100% true!!

I feel terribly lucky for being one of the firsts to get my hands on the Clinique Super City Block BB Cushion Compact. This product will only be available for sale in April and here I am, holding and using the precious baby way before it's launched. Thank you Clinique for making me feel so exclusive omg.

Clinique sent me this product to try BUT I'm not paid to write this review nor am I forced to squeeze out some kind words for this product. I'm writing about it because I find it quite different from the other cushion compacts available in the market now. So I thought I would share it with you guys!

Keep reading if you want to know what set the Clinique cushion compact apart from the rest! ;)

P1020219

P1020177
Okay, so this is how the Clinique cushion compact looks like! It looks pretty much the same like other cushion compacts in the market.

P1020180
There will be 3 different shades: Fair, Cream Beige and True Beige.

P1020184
There's also a cushion puff to help you to pick up and apply the product on your face.

P1020187
Now let's talk about the formula, which is also the highlight of this product.
The Clinique Super City Block BB Cushion Compact SPF 50 is created with a multitasking formula. It delivers high broad-spectrum SPF protection, instant hydration and buildable coverage.

P1020188
The puff picks up quite a generous amount of product with only one gentle press. So, press gently to avoid picking up too much product!

P1020190
The innovative formula renders a refreshing and cooling sensation on my skin, which leaves my skin feeling ultra fresh!

P1020191
With the puff, it's super easy to blend the foundation!

Untitled-1
As you can see from the collage above, my skin tone is quite unbalanced, especially around my eye area. There are also some obvious blemishes around my cheek area. After applying the foundation, my skin has become instantly brighter and the blemishes were concealed pretty well!

VERDICT & UNIQUE SELLING POINTS OF THIS PRODUCT

P1500095

I think this product provides a pretty great and long-lasting coverage! It covers my blemishes and conceals my dark circles pretty well. No concealer is needed at all, which is great for me when I'm rushing out, woohoo!

Also, I find this product pretty lightweight despite the great coverage it provides. It feels breathable and fresh on my skin, as if I'm not wearing any makeup!

Besides, unlike other cushion compacts that usually provide a "shiny" and dewy finish, this product leaves your skin a natural matte finish. So for those who prefer a matte finish, you should totally try this out.

Besides, it contains a high‐level of UVA/UVB sun protection paired with anti‐oxidants help to protect skin from harsh city life, hence the name "SUPER CITY BLOCK".

Also, it's 100% FRAGRANCE-FREE, which means it's absolutely perfect for people who have sensitive skin!!

It also provides sweat and humidity resistance while controlling oil and shine for hours.

Since this product provides a buildable coverage, it will definitely come in handy when you want to do some on-the-go touch-ups!

PRICE AND WHERE TO PURCHASE

P1020178

The Clinique Super City Block Cushion Compact will be priced at RM146. And it will be available at all Clinique stores as well as its online store www.clinique.com.my/ from April 2016 onwards!

We happened to find a sakura tree when we were strolling around Tokyo Metropolitan Building! We were beyond ecstatic to be able to see sakura with our own eyes. Although it wasn't fully-bloomed yet,  it was already enough to make us feel electrified.

IMG_0245

Lumine
Lumine is one of the most popular shopping malls in Shinjuku. Lumine is spread into 3 parts around Shinjuku: Lumine 1, Lumine 2 and Lumine EST. Personally, I prefer Lumine 2 and Lumine EST more as the brands fit the lifestyle of the younger generation more.

Have you heard of PUPA

If it doesn't ring a bell, you are going to learn about this brand from me today!

Okay, PUPA is currently a leading and best-selling makeup brand in Italy. Thanks to SASA Malaysia, you don't have to travel all the way to Italy to purchase PUPA's products!

Last week, I was invited to the launch of PUPA's new collection - the Limited Edition DOT SHOCK Collection! This new collection is a modern and colourful interpretation of the Polka Dots trend. Besides, if you are a fan of pastel and bright colours, the colour palette in this collection will definitely turn you into a loyal fan!

P1030413
The model is gorgeous! ♥♥♥

P1030367
There are 7 new products from this makeup range: Dot Shock Eyeshadow Palette, Vamp! Stylo Liner, Dot Shock Blush, Miss Pupa Lipstick, Dot Shock Balmy Gloss, and last but not least, the Lasting Colour Gel (nail lacquer) and Lasting Colour Velvet Matt (nail lacquer).

P1030368

P1030369

P1030386
PUPA's International Make Up Artist, Mr. Giorgio Forgani, flew in all the way from Italy to conduct a private make-up workshop in conjunction with the launch of the Limited Edition Dot Shock range of products! He shared with us how to achieve a flawless skin and everyday eye makeup with the products engineered by PUPA!

P1030387

P1030393
The Dot Shock Eyeshadow Palette in #002 Spring Sunset is my favourite product from this range! Featuring a never-before-seen polka dot design, this palette contains five gorgeous and wearable eyeshadows with a high concentration of pigments.

P1030769
I have to say, the colours feels very much like first love! They also have a silky melt-on texture which blend really well without any creasing. Besides, this eyeshadow can be used wet to achieve a more luminous and intense colour payoff!!

P1030405
On my hand: Dot Shock Balmy Gloss in#001 Petal Coral and #002 Pink Beauty. The Dot Shock Balmy Gloss has a very light and soft formula. Its supreme melt-on texture is enriched with special pigments that react according to the lips' pH value! In other words, the result will be "tailor-made" according to your lips' pH value! Just how cool is that?!

pupa-vamp-stylo-liner
Vamp! Stylo Liner in Creamy Chocolateand Extra Black! These eyeliners feature a slim and soft marker trip, which allows you to draw a fine and precise line easily without any hassles!

P1030406
And there are 4 gorgeous colours in the Miss Pupa Ultra Brilliant Lipstick range! With a smooth texture, these lipsticks are concocted to enhance the volume of your lips naturally, leaving them soft and captivating. Besides, they also provide an extraordinary crystal effect with a semi-transparent wet finish!

P1030412
From the left: Shock Fuchsia, Fair Pink, Fancy Red, Sugar Peach
The colours are just so sweet and pretty, which really enlivens the "Spring spirit" in me!

P1030402

P1030370
PUPA has also launched the Dot Shock Colour Gel which provides a shiny and glossy colour and the Dot Shock Velvet Matt Nail Polish, which provides a semi-matt finish with a soft-touch effect!

P1030375
The Dot Shock Blush is super adorable!!!

P1030766

Enriched with precious ultra-fine pearls, this product, which comes in a range of subtle pink and peach shades, is going to light up your face for a fresh-looking and naturally radiant complexion! *hello, dear hands and camera!*

P1030420
Once again, thank you SASA and Nuffnang for having me over at the launch!! I'm so glad to be able to meet Mr.Giorgio Forgani in person and learn some useful makeup tips from him!

Can't wait to share with you guys more looks that I'm going to create with the new Dot Shock Limited Edition collection!

#JESSICALOVESTOKYO: WHAT I BOUGHT FROM KIDDYLAND

In my previous post, I've already covered what to shop and where to shop in Harajuku and KIDDYLAND is on the list! Some of you actually emailed me and requested for a Kiddyland Haul post; so here you are, my babies from Kiddyland! ♥

Disclaimer: The intention of the blog post is not to brag or anything of such sort. I just want to share with you my pure joy of getting what I really like in Kiddyland.

Hello Kitty Tumbler.
Kiddyland's merchandises are mostly exclusively available in Japan only. My philosophy when shopping overseas: If you can't get an item elsewhere in the world and you really love it, just like this super adorable Hello Kitty tumbler: BUY IT.
(That's why I'm broke lololol #badadvice #butjapanisheaven #whattodo #sorry)

P1030781Gudetama mug.
I am actually not a huge fan of Gudetama, but I just had to get this mug because it's so adorable omg!

P1030783

P1030786Sailor Moon Eyeliners
I am obsessed with Sailor Moon and the Sailor Moon section in Kiddyland filled me with so much joy and excitement!! I just felt like getting everything from that section! This eyeliner is actually one of my favourite eyeliners, not only because of the packaging, but its formula too!

P1030790
Sailor Moon key chain, Sailor Moon fake eyelashes and Sailor Moon paper clip.
How to resist buying the merchandises - you tell me!!! T_T

P1030792
They actually have a few different designs, but I only got the most natural-looking one because I don't really wear fake lashes on a daily basis.

P1030794Literally the most beautiful paper clip I have ever seen lolol.

P1030796
More Sailor Moon stuffs...

P1030798
Sailor Moon notebook and Luna Cat pens
(Beautiful school supplies make me more excited for school ok hahahaha)

P1030800
JUST HAD TO GET THESE. (I'm sure these pens will make me so happy whenever I write...HAHA)

P1030801
My Melody Bowl.
用来喝汤或吃早餐都特别有胃口吧 HAHA

P1030807
Rilakkuma cookie mould and Hello Kitty sweets

P1030808
Reason why I bought this: 1) It is only for sale in Japan  2) The packaging is so special.
(Who cares about the taste when you have nice packaging wtf)
(The market needs more impulsive consumers like me wtf)

P1030809
Can't wait to bake with this then I can have the cutest cookies in the world!

P1030810
Sailor Moon socks! 3 pairs for only 1000yen!!
(Told you I was about to bring the entire Sailor Moon section home lololol)
一看到 Sailor Moon 的东西就发狂了 怎么办

UntitledBought these Gudetama cookies for my friends as souvenirs!

UntitledThe 2 little packets of snacks at the bottom and the Hello Kitty sweets are from Kiddyland while the snacks in pink packaging are from the airport!

SO THAT'S ALL ABOUT MY KIDDYLAND HAUL!!

Didn't buy a lot of things but these few things cost me about RM800 wtf.
I think it's mainly because of my Sailor Moon stuffs which contributed a large portion to the amount omg. But I'm really happy with my purchase!!

So now, tell me, do you want to visit Kiddyland next time when you are in Japan? HAHAH

#JESSICALOVESTOKYO: POMPOMPURIN CAFE IN HARAJUKU

Your trip to Japan wouldn't be complete without visiting a character cafe or two! Character cafes are super popular in Japan, and there are many different characters cafes everywhere. Some of you may not prefer dining in character cafes because of 1) the price2) the queue 3) the food (food in characters cafes is cute, but not always delicious).

But as for a sucker for everything cute like me, I really don't mind giving such cafes a try despite the price and food quality lolol. As long as I can take cute pictures, then I am already content hahahahaha.

So, I'd been to the Pompompurin Cafe in Cute Cube, Harajuku during my trip. We were actually the first in line because we already got there before they even opened lolol. #kiasu

But seriously, if you come at 12pm, you will need to queue for more than half an hour!

IMG_0582As you can see, they do have an English menu, so remember to request for it unless you know how to read Japanese! :P

IMG_0588
Just like every other character cafe in Japan, you will be able to find cute merchandises (some which are of limited edition) of the character in the cafe itself!

IMG_0591

IMG_0592

IMG_0593
I would rate 10/10 for the interior!!

IMG_0594
A huge Pompompurin sits right in the middle of the cafe, smiling and welcoming you with his friends.

IMG_0595

IMG_0597

WHAT DID WE ORDER?

IMG_0598
Bagel Special Pancake Tower, 1490 yen. (Comes with a complimentary Pompompurin mug! Yes, it's the one beside the pancake).
To be honest, I think the pancake was GOOD!!! I mean, it looked good (and cute) for sure and it also tasted awesome! Soft, fluffy, buttery and tasted super good with the whipped cream. Such a a sinful indulgence!

IMG_0605

IMG_0617
Green Pesto Pasta with Chicken Slices (also comes with a complimentary souvenir, a mug!)
Forgot the price of this dish already, but it was a little too salty for our liking!

IMG_0606
Gelatinous Pudding Shake, 790 yen.
This is a sweet, gelatinous and milky drink with crushed pudding. Can you also spot the super adorable marshmallow on top?!?!

IMG_0607
Cookies & Cream Caramel Pudding Latte, 790 yen.
You will never go wrong with cookies and cream - oh, and also caramel. Needless to say, this drink definitely stole my heart away!

Anyway, I have a vlog for this cafe too so feel free to watch if cute cafes (and Harajuku) is your kind of thing!

CLIENT READ MY BLOG POST AND THIS IS HOW THEY REACTED

$

A few days ago, I wrote about how I was exploited by a client on my blog.

The blog post has attracted a lot of views, attention and responses, which was really unexpected for me. Many people started sharing the post out, spreading it to their friends and family.
(Even my uni friends who don't read my blog, read that blog post out of curiosity..you know who you are haahahahaha)

Also, many people commented on my post and showed their support, which I am really thankful for.
Thank you all for your concern.

Well, three days after the blog post was published, I received a text from my talent manager that the client has read the blog post.

They were very concerned about this issue and they wanted to talk it out with me to resolve it.

They said they could totally understand my frustration and anger, and why I wanted to bring this issue up to the public.

I will not disclose our conversation any further as I think it's better to keep it between the parties involved only.

However, I can tell you that we have agreed and come to a resolution for this matter.

The client is willing to make compensation and send me an OFFICIAL apology letter to make it up for this situation, while I promise to take down the blog post that contained negative comments about them.

This afternoon, I received an "apology" email from the client's representative.

And this is how the email looks like:

Wow.

Just wow.

I wasn't expecting this at all, and it's my first time receiving such an impressive apology letter!

Really, I am impressed that this email actually came from a representative of an established company.

I think even primary school students can write a better OFFICIAL apology letter, don't you guys think so?

No addressing. No salutation. No greetings. No explanations. No sign-off.
Most important of all, NO SINCERITY???Ok la, maybe 1% la.

I mean, if you want to apologise to someone, you do it whole-heartedly.

I don't know but I feel like she is doing it just because she HAD to???

Am I really asking for too much?

How would you feel if you receive an apology letter like this?

Comment and let me know.

The appetiser already hit us with a bang omg. The tofu was really, really soft with a hint of sweet cherry blossom scent.

This was not in the list, but Keiko-san ordered it for us to try! Tempuras in Japan are definitely a must-try, as they taste really different from what you can get here!

IMG_0278
Second appetiser - Sashimi Plate
Needless to say, the sashimi was super fresh!!

IMG_0280
Look at how thick it is!

IMG_0281
Ok, this was not a part of the course as well, but Keiko-san just wanted to feed us with more authentic Japanese food hahahah! The flesh was fresh and firm!

IMG_0284
Third dish - Grilled Cutlass Fish
Usually this kind of fish has a strong fishy smell if not cooked/processed well, but this is not the case at all and is super fresh and tasty!

Fourth dish - Fish Roe, Shell and Seaweed Soup

IMG_0288
Fifth dish - Japanese Beef!!!

IMG_0292

The steamed egg was great but I dared not try the soft-shelled turtle though.

MY 5-MINUTE EVERYDAY MAKEUP LOOK

I am not sure about you guys, but I personally have a habit of shopping online, especially on Watsons' online store!! I feel that Watsons is like a one-stop destination for everything related to health, beauty and wellness. Don't you think so?

When you need any kinds of medicines or vitamins, Watsons always has it.

Say you run out of skin care or beauty products, Watsons is the way to go - Watsons has nearly everything that you need! Be it a new pair of razors, a new toothpaste or the big aunty's rescue team, Watsons offers a number of brands for you to find the one that suits you most.

So as you guys know, I just came back from Tokyo not long ago! It was really cold back in Tokyo, and occasionally it might even go down to 5 degree Celsius. Transitioning from such a cold weather to Malaysia's all-year-long summer, what I feared the most has come for my face - OUTBREAKS.

If pimples were free souvenirs that you can get from Japan, I shamelessly took home four. T__T
I guess we can say the flaws of my Japan trip are written all over my face...
Geddit? Geddit?

LUCKILY, the beauty products Watsons sent me (right on the day I came back from my trip, too) has helped take those "unwanted souvenirs" away! Not only that, they also help me transform my look from this...

P1030026a

P1030247
Wanna know how you can achieve this look in just 5 mins?! Then JUST KEEP READING HOHOHO!

steps

STEP 1 → CORRECT YOUR SKIN TONE
The product I used to correct my skin tone is the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear® Talc-Free Mineral Correcting PowderStart applying it at the centre of your face, then spread it outwards to the forehead and chin area.

P1030030
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the colour palette and the cute brush?!!! I mean, how cute are they?! Wait a minute, it's actually made in JAPAN? No wonder it's so adorable!!

Untitled
Ok, back to its benefits. This baby is a 3-in-1 Corrector + Primer + Powder. The soft and pastel colour palette is not meant to only please the eyes, it actually serves a real purpose! PINK brightens up our skin tone, GREEN tones down the redness on our skin while YELLOW adds warmth to the skin. Whichever genius has thought of that?!

P1030045a
The effect is really apparent!! As you can see from the picture above, the powder instantly brightens up my skin, smoothens my skin texture and evens out my skin tone!!

P1030038
Also, I love how it delivers a natural finish that won’t "cake", crease or settle into fine lines.
TIP: For best results on dry to very dry skin, remember to apply a moisturiser prior to using powder. This product can be worn alone / over makeup! (Very good tips!)

STEP 2 → CONCEAL AND HIGHLIGHT
As the coverage of the mineral powder is not too thick, I still need a concealer to hide away my blemishes. The product that I want to share with you is the Physicians Formula Nude Wear Glowing Nude Touch of Glow.

Untitled

Once again, I'm already sold for its design. Anyway, this tool helps to conceal, highlight and add a touch of glow to your skin.

P1030279
Besides hiding away all your enemies: dark circles and blemishes, this tool also adds a touch of radiance to your skin!

P1030081
Apply the product on your nose bridge and cheekbone to let them stand out! (kind of literally)

STEP 3 → BRING THE CAT-EYES OUT
You guys know how much I love winged-eyeliners, right? The KATE Digital Memory Liner makes drawing winged-eyeliners absolutely effortless, and it's all owing to its super fine flat brush and formula!

Untitled

Untitled

With a super fine brush tip, you have full control over drawing your eyeliners, regardless whether you're going for a fine thin line or a dramatic cat-eye.

P1030273
I also love how the colour is sharp and clear! Besides, with its excellent fast drying and water resistance properties, it adheres firmly to the eyelids without smudging, smearing or fading.
TIP: This eyeliner can be removed using hot water too!!

So this is how I usually draw my winged-eyeliner!

STEP 4 → MASCARA TIME!
I'm a huge fan of mascaras and I am proud to announce that the KATE Virtual Long Lash Mascara is now one of my favourite mascaras!!!!

Untitled
As the KATE Virtual Long Lash Mascara contains eight times more carbon black pigments than conventional mascara, it helps to create more natural-looking, long, intense and impactful eyelashes.

P1030276
Also, the fibres are fine enough to catch all the lashes, even the short ones in the corners. So every single eyelash gets to be pampered by this tool!! :P

P1030136
SEE THE DIFFERENCE!!!

STEP 5 → BLUSHER AND LIPS
For the blusher, I'm going to use the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in #09 Happy Nude Year because it delivers a matte finish, which is exactly what I am looking for!

Love how the product gives a natural flush to my cheeks! When you can use a product in 2 ways, you know it's a must-have. ;)

P1030154
As for the lips, I applied the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in #15 Red-Volution to the centre of my lips. (By the way, does anyone else find Bourjois really creative in naming their lipsticks? #pungamestrong hahahaha)

P1030156
Then, I applied the pink one on the outer part for a gradient on the lips!

Its soft, velvety and airy texture just feels so lightweight on my lips! Apart from that, YES, IT'S SUPER LONG-LASTING.

#JESSICAINTOKYO: GINZA

We spent a day in Ginza during our trip in Tokyo. For a person who has no budget to shop for luxurious goods (like me), spending a day in Ginza is definitely more than enough!

We relied on Google Map to navigate to Ginza from Shinjuku. FYI, besides your pocket wifi, Google Map could literally be your best friend when you travel in Tokyo. It provides really clear direction for you, such as which train line and stations to go for. So, shoutout to Google for such awesome invention!!

Anyway, our first stop in Ginza was Matsuya Ginza.
It's a high-end department store which sells luxurious, branded goods, ranging from apparels to cosmetics and even household goods.

Check out their website for their brand directory!

IMG_0384
Every time I come to Japan, I will surely get myself something from Ladurée Cosmetics! With its dainty and delicate packaging, it's really no surprise why girls are so obsessed with it!

IMG_0385
Besides cosmetics, Ladurée also carries a range of body products such as body lotion, body soap, hand cream, etc!

IMG_0386
Besides Ladurée, you can also find International brands like Jo Malone, YSL, Tom Ford, Jill Stuart, SK-II, and many more!!

IMG_0389
Lunch at Tsukiji Sushi-Iwa in level B1, Matsuya Ginza!

IMG_0392
The sushi will be freshly-made by the chefs right in front of you upon ordering. I devoured them with so much satisfaction and joy!!

IMG_0395
After lunch, we walked around the food department and found Ichigo (strawberry)!!! A dozen of strawberries costs around RM195 in Japan...it's pretty damn pricey, isn't it?!

IMG_0397
As we are unable to afford a box of strawberries which cost us almost 200 bucks, we went for a mini box of assorted fruits instead! :P

IMG_0403
FRESH and SWEET kiwi, strawberries and blackberries! Now I know why people say you must eat fruits when you are in Japan!!!

IMG_0401

Next stop: UNIQLO.

IMG_0410
The Uniqlo in Ginza has 12 freaking floors!! We got ourselves some HEATTECH innerwear because it was really cold in Tokyo that time!!

IMG_0418

IMG_0424

IMG_0452
Tea-time in Gucci Cafe.

It's spacious and not packed and crowded as other restaurants. I will definitely recommend this place for those who want to relax in a quiet environment with a cup of good coffee.

IMG_0429
The menu itself already looks so "expensive" and "luxurious" wtf. We were like, aiya nevermind la, it's not always that we get to spoil ourselves with expensive desserts lolol.

P.S. Just like most of the cafes and restaurants in Tokyo, each person has to order at least 1 item.

IMG_0435
Cappuccino.

IMG_0437
Latte.

IMG_0446
With 2300yen, you can enjoy a Guccilicious set of dessert including a cup of coffee and cake of your choice. We went for the signature Gucci Tiramisu which was really soft and rich in flavour, while being not overly sweet and cloying. It's really worth the price, I would say!

IMG_0447
Totally forgot what the name of this...but it was as good as the Tiramisu!

So the total was around RM200 for 2 dessert sets + 1 additional cafe latte. I thought it was a little too expensive to spends 200 bucks on only desserts, but then again, the desserts were actually above my expectations and the ambiance was awesome! So it was a really great experience after all!

URBAN DECAY SUMMER COLLECTION 2016

Urban Decay is honestly one of my favourite makeup brands ever. I remember the first Urban Decay product I've bought was a NAKED 2 palette. In fact, it's actually the first eyeshadow palette that I've ever bought!

I was invited to Urban Decay's Summer Collection launch yesterday.
As summer is approaching (although it's summer all-year-long in Malaysia), the theme for the party was Coachella.

The party was held in a rooftop pool in the KL Journal.
Honestly, it was really nice seeing everyone dressed up in his/her Coachella-themed outfits. (We definitely need more themed parties!) Although I haven't had the chance to go to the real Coachella yet, I could definitely feel the strong summer Coachella vibes in the party yesterday.

There were juice bars, finger food, makeup and hair stations in the party, offering you free (and professional) makeup and hair-braiding service (by Centro Hair Salon woohoo!) when you sip a refreshing glass of chilled juice.

Here are some pictures that we took yesterday!

UntitledMy partner-in-crime, Jxhia. She looked gorgeous as hell with her outfit and braids! And the party wouldn't be fun without her! :P

The castle, the spaceships, the mascots, the parades...
My first visit in Tokyo Disneyland was nothing short of a magical journey. It's a happy place after all.  I'm sure anyone who comes here will go home with sweet and unforgettable memories from Disneyland. The weather was great throughout the day but the crowd was crazy. Do expect to queue up at least 1 hour for each ride. However, there are some rides that issues fast-passes (F.O.C) to save up your time and energy from queuing up.

Tips: Get fast-passes for the thrilling rides, such as Space Mountain and Splash Mountain (Both these rides require 2 hours of queue without fast passes whereas you will only need to queue up for less than 30 mins WITH fast passes)

Anyway, this post is going to be a photolog. I've no idea how many photos there are in this post, nonetheless, I hope y'all enjoy them!

DISNEYLAND VLOG:

TAKING THINGS SLOW

$
0
0

Hey guys! I'm so sorry for the lack of updates.

Today I'm here to write a really casual life update, and to let you guys know what I've been up to recently.

So I was really busy with uni. Assignments start to come one after another, not forgetting to mention a mid-term exam coming up next week. The mid-term exam is considered as our final piece, which means if we fail that test, we will have to retake the entire module again next semester. Well, it's not that I think I would fail, but I was just so afraid that I would have not enough time to revise on everything that I need to score well in the test.

I was so stressed up.

I was totally worn-out.

I pushed myself so hard that my brain was on the verge of exploding.

I was panicking about not having enough time to complete everything by their respective due dates.

In actual fact, it was just me overly pressurising myself.

Let's say I'm given an assignment that is due next week. I would start working on the assignment 2-3 weeks before the due date.
And I couldn't go a day without doing it until completion. I would just feel super guilty for not staying committed to the assignment when I have the time for it.

I spent my weekend completing my work, while I'm actually still far from the due date, because I just never fancied the idea of doing things at the eleventh hour. I always like to complete a task at least 1 week before the due date, which sometimes causes me a lot of unnecessary stress. Sometimes, I would even try to complete all tasks in my to-do-list in a single day.

But it the end, as I got slowly consumed by a grip of guilt that is constantly reaching out to my throat, I eventually felt that I am letting up. I am failing myself. What never came to my mind was that I actually still have time.

Now that I look back to those weekends I pulled through, they were collectively a huge lump of unnecessary stress for myself, which only serves to wear my mind. Knowing my situation, Teddy said "There are about 101 things that you can stress about, and there's nothing you can do to change that. What you can do instead is change how you take them on."

I should have taken one step at a time. I should have given myself some time to breathe.

People who know my way of work always praise me for my efficiency, but what goes behind my "efficiency" was a toll so unnecessarily taxing and heavy to bear.

I am done rushing through life. I should learn to take things slow.

And as interesting as it gets, by the mere thought of it, I can already feel stress gradually slipping off my shoulders.

KPOP INSPIRED MAKEUP + GIVEAWAY

Flawless and dewy skin.

Bold and straight brows.

Perfectly winged eyeliner.

This is how I interpret K-beauty. I've always been a fan of Korean and Japanese makeup. So I'm beyond stoked when Shu Uemura contacted Jxhia and I for a collaboration of its new collection - the #KYEFORSHU collection.

It's really an interesting collection because it's a fusion of Japanese and Korean makeup. Shu Uemura, being a Japanese cosmetic brand, is collaborating with Kye, who is a Korean fashion designer. As we all know, Shu Uemura always comes up with exciting collaborations with artists and celebrities, Karl Lagerfeld, Maison Kitsune, Yazbukey - just to name a few. Carole, the PR of Shu Uemura Malaysia told me that Shu Uemura is always ready and excited to work with people who have a passion for art in the industry.

The #KYEFORSHU collection is all about going for a bold, bright and daring look. The collection consists of a full range of limited edition makeup and skin care products that include pin-point items for bold eyebrows, defined eyeliner and a natural flush on the cheeks.

How adorable is the packaging?!

So, Jxhia and I have come out with an idea of doing a "My BFF does my makeup" challenge. It's basically me doing her makeup and vice versa. It's actually my first time applying makeup for other people, not forgetting to mention, Jxhia's features are really different from mine too! So it was pretty challenging for me, but I guess I have done a pretty good job HAHA! Watch my video and you'll know! :p

Also, here are some pictures of my #ExoticKool look, which was done by Jxhia:

As someone who loves fashion and never holds back in experimenting with new styles, it's pretty hard for me to decide my top 5 wardrobe essentials for school. However, on some days that I really have no idea about what to wear, I will always resort to the pieces listed below to help me get ready for the day.

So here you are, my top 5 staple wardrobe items for school:

1) A pair of skinny jeans

Untitled

Untitled

Untitled

Untitled
Not only are skinny jeans comfortable, their versatility also makes them the key to creating a huge variety of looks throughout the semester. For maximum comfort, pair your skinny jeans with a tee or sweatshirt and a pair of sneakers!

2) Black leggings

Untitled
While some people may not like the material of skinny jeans, leggings could be a great alternative! Leggings can totally be your bestie on the days you don't really feel like dressing up, but still want to look put-together! You can pair your black leggings with a black top to achieve that effortless, cool and edgy look.

3) A white top

Much like my favourite pair of skinny jeans, a white top is very versatile. I know, "white top" isn't really a "type" of outfit, it's just a colour. However, to me, the colour's irresistible charisma already wins itself a place in this list. I can pretty much wear it with anything, hence it's my ultimate wardrobe staple!

4) A pair of skater skirt

Yes, after all these years, skater skirts are still one of my favourite fashion items ever. For a person with a petite frame like me, a pair of skater skirt is going to elongate your legs and make you look slender! Oh, make sure your skater skirt is a high-waisted one too!

5) A bomber jacket

Well, if you know me, you would know that I've been a huge fan of bomber jackets for ages now.
I love the fact that it instantly makes an outfit sophisticated and cool! Contrary to a popular myth, bomber jackets are not just meant to be paired with skinny jeans - because I think they look really good with dresses and skirts too!

Alright, so here are my top 5 campus wardrobe staples! Leave me a comment and let me know which fashion item is your must-have for school! ♥

During my E-marketing class last week, my lecturer told me that Malaysia has actually one of the highest Internet penetration rates in the world. In fact, Malaysia is the no.1 country when it comes to smartphone Internet access exclusivity!!

My website analytics also told me something: Most of my readers read my blog / watch my YouTube videos via their smartphones.

Since Malaysians are that Internet-savvy, telco companies in Malaysia are constantly competing and improving to provide the best rates and coverage to their consumers. And of course, the wisest consumers will always choose a data plan that brings them the most benefits with the lowest rate possible!

In line with the trend, U Mobile always strived to bring the lowest rate to the table, and their efforts are never ending. It's about time I share with all you out there how they are taking mobile internet to the next level!

WHY YOU SHOULD SIGN UP FOR UPACKAGE

Owning an iPhone could be a luxury to many. For a phone it's considered expensive, and we haven't even talked about the crazily high interest rates and upfront payments. I remember when I first bought an iPhone 6, I paid around RM2.5k for a device that is tied to a 24-month instalment plan. For a student like me, RM2.5k is obviously quite a huge amount, and it could actually translate into nearly a semester worth of meals. T_T B

But now, owning an iPhone is so much easier and more affordable with U Mobile's latest offer - UPackage! WHY?

Let me explain to you.

Gone are the days when you have to sell a few cows to cover the upfront payment and interests, because you can now enjoy a purchase with 0% interest rate + NO upfront payment by signing up for the UPackage!

For example, now you can own the latest iPhone SE at an affordable all-in-one price (device+plan) from only RM104/month!!

Not a fan of iPhone SE? That's cool, but check out the UPackage for iPhone 6S! Here's a comparison of the rates offered by major telco companies in Malaysia. Statistics don't lie, and the chart said it all - U Mobile clearly provides the most affordable monthly instalment plan among all!!

Subscriber are not required to pay upfront payment at all. It is easy, all you need to do is to visit a U Mobile Store, present the latest 3 months postpaid bill (for both new and existing users), select which iPhone and iPlan you want, and pay! Payment must be made via credit card, and you also have to subscribe to Auto Debit for monthly instalment.

NO UPFRONT PAYMENT.

0% INTEREST RATE.

NO CREDIT LOCKDOWN ON YOUR CREDIT CARD.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, ENJOY UP TO 10GB DATA + UNLIMITED CALLS.

YASSSS, UPackage got me like...

SEOUL, KOREA TRAVEL GUIDE: KOREA TRIP ITINERARY & TIPS - FOR FIRST-TIMERS

$

Hey bunnies!!! I'm back from my Korea trip and I have so much to share with y'all!

Traveling to Korea has been on my bucket list ever since I was introduced to the world of Kpop. I adore Korean's fashion and makeup, I enjoy watching Korean dramas (DOTS is my fav!!), listening to K-pop songs (Big Bang, in particular), not forgetting to mention the exotic Korean food! And these are only a slice of the pile of reasons why I longed to travel to Korea!

Well, I'm so glad that I finally made it to Seoul for the 1st time in my life with my mom and my BFF, Joanne! We booked our flight tickets from AirAsia back in March, and unfortunately the rate wasn't the best at that point of time. We still went for it anyway, considering how difficult it is for Joanne and I to find a perfect timing to travel together. Since the both of us were on holidays, we happily embarked on a 10D9N trip to Seoul, lasting from 14th May to 23rd May.

In this post, I'm going to share my itinerary in Korea with y'all in the shoes of a first-timer. It's my first trip to this beautiful place, and I really hope this post will benefit those of you who wish to / will be travelling to Korea for the first time!!

ACCOMMODATION
During our trip, we stayed in an airbnb studio in Gangnam, and I must say that the place have far exceeded my expectations. The stay was literally worth every penny! I mean, just look at the photos!

The studio is equipped with all the basic amenities, such as wifi, air-conditioner, shampoo, hair dryer, 2 super comfortable Queen-sized beds, kitchenware, TV and more! And there is even a washing machine right outside your room!

Most importantly, the studio was IMMACULATE. The bed sheets were in brilliant white and the toilet was squeaky clean!

Plus, the MRT station was just 3 mins walk away from the apartment, which puts you in a super strategic location!

Now, the most important question: THE RATE?
It's only RM797 per person for 9 nights, which is pretty reasonable I think!

On a side note, Lucy, the host of the apartment, was extremely helpful! She replied my messages instantly and even recommended us some of the nice restaurants nearby the apartment.

(And if you are wondering if I was being sponsored, the answer is NO. Joanne found this apartment and we honestly felt that this place deserves to be recommended to anyone who seeks for a lovely stay in Seoul).

Here's the link if you wanna check out the listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/5961079
Now that you're here, I'm sending each and everyone of you RM62 traveling credits on Airbnb!! All you need to do is just register yourself through THIS link!

HOW MUCH MONEY TO BRING?
It's obvious, but I have to mention that this actually varies depending on your spending habits. For me, I spent about RM5k on clothes, cosmetics, shoes and skin care products, RM1.1k on food, and RM120 for transportation (over the course of 10D9N).

If you are planning to hop on a shopping adventure, RM3k-5k is enough to afford you a ton of locally manufactured clothes, shoes and makeup (most of the clothes are 10,000 won per piece, which approximately translates to only RM35!)

On the other hand, if your target is locked on local food and some lightweight shopping, RM1.2-1.5k per person should be ample for 10 days, and with this amount of money, you can indulge on various delicious street food, Korean BBQ, Bulgogi and even a scrumptious seafood dinner in Noryanjin Fish Market. Food in Korea is actually inexpensive, unless you are the likes of a daily Dior Cafe patron hahaha!

Pro tip: DO NOT enter restaurants that do not state the price of the food on their menu, because they usually tend to overcharge.

HOW TO GET CONNECTED IN SEOUL?
You may purchase a local SIM card from the airport or in Korea itself. However, I would suggest you to rent pocket wifi from Travelrecommends.com, as it's more affordable than its competitors, and it can be shared between multiple devices, so you don't have to bear the cost alone!

Travelrecommends.com offers overseas wifi router rental service to several countries, including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Europe, US, etc.

Untitled

The best part of the deal? You read it - UNLIMITED WIFI, from only RM19/day!! Remember how I could update my Instagram and Snapchat all the time when I was in Seoul? :p

Not forgetting to mention, the connection was pretty stable and the speed was consistently fast throughout our trip, which made browsing on-the-go easy and hassle-free!

TRANSPORTATION
I mostly rely on the subway to travel from one point to another. The subway in Korea is just as efficient as Japan's, as each subway station has a specific name, number, and each subway lines are marked with different colours. Prior to heading anywhere, be sure to do a little research to find out the station where you should disembark, and the correct exit to take in each station in order to find your way to the destination.

In Japan, using Google Map to get around is very reliable. HOWEVER, in Korea, I wouldn't suggest you to use Google Map because it occasionally gave us the wrong information and directions. T_T

So, instead of using Google Map, I would suggest you to download this app called SEOUL METRO SUBWAY MAP & ROUTE PLANNER.

It's a bilingual app which shows you the Seoul subway map. Besides, it will show you all the directions, such as which station to get down, when to transfer to another line, and the estimated time needed to travel from one place to another.

Since we were in Seoul for so many days, we bought a T-money transportation card too, and it is reloadable just like your Touch-N-Go card. You may get this card from any machine in the subway stations (English version is available)! For us, we spent around 35,000 won (per person) for transportation throughout the 10D9N.

OK, so that's about it!
I will be blogging about each tourist attraction in Seoul and the photos I took there, so look out for my upcoming blog posts!!

Stay tuned!! ♥

PRODUCTS THAT I LOVE FROM NUXE, PARIS

NUXE is an international skin care brand originated from Paris. It has already made its presence in more than 74 countries worldwide! Therefore, I felt so honoured to be invited to the launch of NUXE in KL the other day and they are so kind to gift each of us a box of goodies!

I'm not going to share with you ALL the products that I got from them actually, but only the few ones that I personally love!! So, there are actually a total of 4 products that I want to blog about today!

P1080255First of all, I want to talk about the NUXE 24hour Soothing and Moisturising Cream.
To be honest, it has a pretty thick and buttery consistency, as compared to other moisturisers that I own. Despite the buttery consistency, it actually doesn't feel sticky at all, which is totally amazing!

P1080260With its rich and soft texture, I feel that my skin is intensely nourished and "well-protected". Since it's made of Plants Milk and White Blossom, it ensures long-lasting hydration for your skin! I was also told that this cream can soothe any discomfort and redness on your skin too!

P1080265Moving on, I want to share with y'all this awesome possum multi-purpose oil! It's actually called the Huile Prodigieuse® (such an artsy name, I know). Anyway, it's one of the best-selling beauty oils in France. This multi-usage dry oil, made of six Precious Plant Oils (Macadamia, Hazelnut, Borrage, Almond, Camellia and St. John's Wort), nourishes, repairs and softens your skin and hair.

P1080266Now, you might be wondering: Does it feel oily or greasy on the skin since it's an "oil"?
The answer is NO! I have applied it on both of my skin and hair, and I personally think that it doesn't feel oily at all (and a small pump will do its job already)! Instead, it gets absorbed pretty fast into my skin, leaving my skin silky and smooth.

P1080271
Now, I want to introduce you the NUXE Gentle Toning Lotion with rose petals! Its watery texture gives my skin a very soothing and refreshing feeling upon application! I apply it every time after cleansing, not only to refresh the skin, but also to remove all the impurities and traces of make-up. Not forgetting to mention, it smells really pleasant too!! (btw, this product suits all skin types including sensitive skin too!)

P1080275
Okay, the last product: the Nuxe White Daily UV Protector! I'm sure that many of you are aware of the importance of using a sunscreen, right? So I will just skip that "educating part" and jump straight into what I like about this product.

P1080276
As you can see, it has a pretty milky and watery texture. So, it glides on really smoothly on your skin and it's extremely easy to blend out. I feel zero stickiness after applying this sunscreen on my skin!

P1080279See! It leaves no trace of "white films" on the skin! Besides, it boasts other benefits too, such as cellular repair and anti-pollution protection.

P1080252

OK babies, that's all I wanna share today! Will talk to you guys very soon again! ♥
