#JCSINSEOUL: DAY 1 (AIRPORT TRANSFER BUS INFO + GANGNAM SHOPPING!)

$

Hey guys! Welcome back!

I hope most of you have already read my Korea trip itinerary + traveling tips post, if you haven't already, go and read now ok!!

Anyway, I am going to dive deep into the places that I've been to in Seoul and I will be separating the posts according to different days. And I will try to include as much useful information as I could (such as the directions)!

...

We reached Incheon International Airport around 3pm+ after 6 hours 55 mins of flight from KL. After collecting our baggage, we went to the "airport transfer bus" counter to purchase our bus ticket. I would say it's a cheaper alternative than taking the cab from the airport to the city area. The airport bus ticket (one-way only) costed about 15,000 won (=RM51) for each person!

Our airbnb appartment is nearby Gangnam area, but we got down the bus at "Bang Bang" bus station. And from "Bang Bang" bus station, we walked for about 3 mins to reach our airbnb apartment! (If you are planning to stay in the airbnb apartment that I recommended, remember to jot this info down!)

Walking to Gangnam from our apartment!

UntitledBraids by Joanne heheh!

Spotted Song Joong-Ki as the face of Baskin Robbins!! *screams*

Then, we went shopping in the Gangnam Underground Shopping Centre!! It's a huge underground shopping mall with lots of shops selling mainly women clothes, shoes and accessories at prices as low as 5000 won (RM17)!! I seriously shopped a lot here!

But the only problem is that you cannot try on the clothes at some stores.

DIRECTION:Exit in Metro Line 2 at Gangnam Station. The underground shopping mall is connected to the metro station.

There are a lot of stores selling really Korean-styled pieces, which I was super excited about because I'm a huge fan of Korean fashion!

Whether you are looking for sandals, heels, sneakers or platforms, Gangnam has it all. You name it, they have it.

Also, there are a lot of shops selling super cute character socks!!!

Aritaum is something like Sasa in Malaysia. It offers a wide array of Korean cosmetic brands, such as IOPE, Laneige, Mamonde, etc.

Etude House in Korea is a must-go! It has so many products that are not available in Malaysia!

Lilymaymac has collaborated with Etude House and she was using this lipstick in her shoots for Etude House!! The colour is gorgeous, and it costed 9000won (RM31). BUY!

Dinner at a random restaurant in Gangnam!

Our very first meal in Seoul - Dakgalbi! It's quite spicy anyway!

And that concludes our first day in Seoul. Stay tuned for the next!! ♥

Hi folks!! I'm here to share with y'all my 2nd day itinerary in Seoul! There are a few interesting places that I want to write about, such as Gentle Monster @ Sinsa-dong, SM TOWN @ Coex Mall, etc!!

Impromptu shoot with mummy outside our airbnb studio! :P
P1060442
Also, shoutout to Joanne for doing my hair every day!! She is so talented in braiding!
Untitled
The moment when you see a nice bench along a nice-looking street...*shoot*
P1060457
FYI, the nearest station to our airbnb studio is the Yangjae station, which is only a 3-min walk away from our airbnb studio!

P1060458

P1060461
Had breakfast at a random shop located in the subway station.
P1060467
Free-flow Kimchi yo.

P1060468
On our way to Coex Mall! Coex Mall is something like Pavilion in KL, it houses several international brands like Burberry, MCM, Dr. Martens, Furla, Zara, Adidas, Nike, etc. Honestly, there's nothing special to see in Coex Mall because the brands are really atas and expensive lolol.
P1060472

P1060475

P1060476

P1060477

P1060471

Since there's nothing much to shop for in Coex Mall, we moved to SM TOWN, which is just beside Coex Mall!! SM TOWN is practically a heaven-on-earth for all fans of SM Entertainment's celebrities. The entire building, consisting of 6 floors, is purely dedicated to SM Entertainment's celebrities, can you believe it?!

I'm personally not a big fan of any celebrities under SM Entertainment, but when at the entrance, I was so tempted to go in and check out what goes down in such a unique place!

Address : 513, Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea
Directions:
By Subway
Enter the millennium square through the path connected to exit 5 and 6 of Samseong Station Line No.2

Untitled
As you enter the 2nd floor of the building, you will see this huge backdrop hung with black and white photos of your favourite SM idols. I think it is pretty cool!
P1060483
Then, there's this store selling all the fancy merchandises of the celebrities and the "it" items that the artists have personally picked!

P1060484

P1060487
Girls' Generation stationeries are damn pretty!!!
P1060489
On the 3rd floor of the building sits SMTOWN STUDIO, where you get to experience of becoming an artist (but have to pay la, of course) under the management of SMTOWN itself! Dancing and vocal training lessons are available, and you will even get to produce your own MV and PHOTO BOOK here with your makeup and hair set by the professionals. THIS PLACE WILL REALISE YOUR DREAMS OF BEING A CELEBRITY WTF. LEGIT.
P1060490
And there's SUM MARKET, which sells products with SM logos / names / contents.
P1060495
On the same floor as SUM MARKET, there's also a cafe where you can potentially meet some SM fans lolol.
P1060497

Untitled
I really love the way they display the records!
We left SMTOWN with empty hands but a mind full of memories. It was such an eye-opening experience!

...

From Samseong station, we took the subway to SINSA-DONG!

Sinsa-dong is very popular among the locals as well as tourists. This place feels like a fascinating fusion of the old and new. Magically, you will feel the nonchalance of the modern city life and warmth of the days gone by - both at the same time. The array of quaint cafés, cosmetic and fashion shops all blend together for a cityscape resonating with a contemporary ambiance.

P1060504
SONG JOONG-KI EVERYWHERE (AIN'T COMPLAINING)!!!

P1060514
Yes, there's a 3CE in Sinsa-dong!

Somewhere along the street pops a quaint-looking cafe like this. Fell in love with this place already!

It started drizzling after a short while, so we decided to stop by a random BBQ restaurant to have lunch (and to wait for the rain to recede lolol).
P1060519

P1060521
I must say, having Korean BBQ on a rainy day is such a blessing.
P1060523

The rain did not stop even after our meal, hence we desperately walked into a convenient store to get ourselves umbrellas so that we can carry on with our journey. After rounds and rounds of walking and searching high and low, we finally made our way to GENTLE MONSTER.

Address: 533-6, SINSA-DONG, GANGNAM-GU, SEOUL, KOREA
P1060525
Every Gentle Monster flagship store has different concepts and designs, which is super creative and mind-blowing. For example, the flagship store in Sinsa-dong was designed with the "Home and Recovery" concept.

P1060530
The price range of their sunglasses is from RM700 to RM1500.

Seriously, I wish I could pay a visit to EVERY LAST ONE Gentle Monster flagship stores one day!!!

I was so happy because I got to take so many nice photos in Gentle Monster HAHAHA.

Then, we left Sinsa-dong and took the subway to Express Bus Terminal station for shopping, again!!

For your information, Express Bus Terminal station is also an underground shopping mall, like the Gangnam underground shopping mall (which I have blogged about in my previous post). You can find a huge array of clothing items, shoes, bags, accessories - even the housewares are reasonably price! There are also a few restaurants for you to grab a quick bite / dinner at after some intense shopping!

Our simple dinner @ Express Bus Terminal Underground Shopping Mall.
So that's all for Day 2!!
Stay tuned for more :p

#JCSINSEOUL: DAY 3 PART 1 (GYEONGBOKGUNG PALACE & BUKCHON HANOK VILLAGE)

We went to a few places on the third day of our trip in Korea. It was a more "touristy" day for us as we visited the typical tourist destinations in Seoul: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village and Myeongdong!

I'm not sure about you but when I travel to a country for the first time, I just have to visit all the iconic places like temples, palaces and whatever gardens that have rows of trees and flowers assembling for me hahaha. #thatssotouristy

Anyway, I will be separating "Day 3" into 2 posts because it will be too heavy if I were to include all pictures into one single post. And I certainly do not want you feeling like: Oh damn, when is this post going to end? when you are reading this post.

So, shall we begin?
...
Gyeongbokgung Palace serves as the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty. It's located in the heart of Seoul. It also houses the National Palace Museum. The palace is really huge and there are also gardens inside. We spent a few good hours roaming around and taking photographs.
Direction: Gyeongbokgung Station(Subway Line 3), exit 5.

After visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace, we took the subway to Anguk station, exit 2 (which is just a stop away from Gyeongbokgung station) for Bukchon Hanok Village.

With 600 years of history, Bukchon Hanok Village is the home to hundreds of traditional houses, called hanok. The name Bukchon literally translates to "northern village" in Korean. Today, many of these hanoks operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses, providing visitors with an opportunity to experience, learn and immerse in Korean traditional culture.

P1060742
Although the weather was pretty warm during our visit, and it required a bit of "slope climbing" to reach this village, it was a great experience overall touring around the beautiful Bukchon Hanok Village.
P1060749
Totally camouflaging with the hanoks hahahaha
P1060761

The admission fees to Bukchon Hanok Village is FREE, but please bear in mind that there are people residing in the village, so visitors are expected to observe peace and serenity when they are touring around! (In other words, shhhhh!)

Anyway, both Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village really offer visitors a great cultural experience! It has always impressed me how all these historical places from the bygone era are still preserved in the modern world.

Stay tuned for Day 3 Part 2!

#JCSINSEOUL DAY 3: PART 2 (THINGS TO DO IN MYEONGDONG)

Hi peeps!! As mentioned in my previous post, I will be separating my Day 3 in Seoul into 2 parts, so here's PART 2!!

I have decided to make a special list of the things that you can do in Myeongdong to give y'all a better picture of what Myeongdong is all about! So let's begin!

1) Shop for BEAUTY PRODUCTS
For those who want to shop for Korean BEAUTY products, Myeongdong will be your shopping paradise. There are thousands of Korean beauty brands in Myeongdong so basically you can just find any Korean beauty brands you want here. Also, there will be in-store promotions and discounts (which will make you buy even you do not intend to), and also free gifts!! In Myeongdong, the MORE you buy, the MORE free gifts you will get! Some of the stores even give away luggage bag when you purchase over a certain amount wtf. Also, most of the sales associates can speak in Mandarin~!

VDL Pantone!!
I went crazy when I saw these so I bought all of them because I couldn't decide which to get fml.
2) Eat Myeongdong STREET FOOD
If you think Myeongdong is all about shopping only, then you're wrong! In Myeongdong, you get to try a lot of Korean street food too!! I'm totally missing the snacks right now. T_T
Egg bun

Fried Octopus

Sausages and fried toppokki!!

32cm-long-ice-cream!
Untitled
Buttery chips! (This is so addictive omg)

3) Visit the LINE store
Took picture with a life-sized Brown!

4) Shop for CLOTHES
There's this huge underground store selling inexpensive fashion apparels in Myeongdong. What I love about this store is that you can get some Korean-outfit-inspirations from the outfits they matched and hung on the wall!!! Besides this store, you can also find Forever 21, Zara and H&M in Myeongdong!

5) Have BINGSU
Got tired from shopping? How about having authentic Korean Bingsu in SULBING Korean Dessert Cafe? The shop is on the 2nd floor of a store (forgot the name already) and it's opposite of Woori Bank.
Injeolmi patbingsu (This is really good!!! Every spoon of shaved ice will literally melt in your mouth)
Injeolmi toast (A very palatable dish meant for those who have a sweet tooth!)

Lastly, take photos at the Myeongdong street! :P

TIPS: Remember to wear a pair of comfortable shoes because it requires a lot of walking!

We managed to visit quite a few places on the 4th day of our Seoul trip, thanks to Joanne who did all the research and planning before our trip wooohooo! So today I'll be blogging about N Seoul Tower, Dongdaemun and Hongdae!

N SEOUL TOWER
N Seoul Tower is the symbol of Seoul. Its observation deck offers you a beautiful view of the city and it's also where the popular "locks of love" is located!!

How to go? By bus or by subway?
We took the Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus NO. 05 from Myeongdong bus station. Alternatively, you can also reach there by the cable car (more information -> HERE).

It's a must to take note of the bus number (No.05) if you are taking the bus from MYEONGDONG bus station!!
The bus fare is 1,200 won in cash / 1,100 won with your transportation card!

P1060849
Arrived!!
P1060850
Yes, it requires a bit of walking up the slope to actually reach the tower area, but the view is definitely worth the walk!!
P1060851
Beautiful rows of maple trees.

DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA (DDP)
If you haven't already known, DDP was one of the filming locations for the drama "You who came from the stars"!

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is the newest and most iconic landmark of the Korean design industry. Located at the center of the Dongdaemun area, the DDP will serve as a key venue for design-related shows and conferences, exhibitions, and other events and gatherings.
More information about DDP -> HERE

HOW TO GO? Get off at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (Seoul Subway Line 2, 4 ,5) and Exit 1. From Incheon International Airport, take AREX (Airport Railroad): Go to Gimpo International Airport Station → Transfer to Gongdeok Station (Seoul Subway Line 5) → Get off at Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, Exit 1.

HONGDAE (HONGIK UNIVERSITY STREET)
HongDae is one of my favourite places in Seoul!! The shopping street has got a lot to offer no matter you want to shop or eat! Since this area is near the university, clothes are pretty affordable here - prices usually start from 10,000 won! There are also a lot cafes, BBQ restaurants and even clubs here!

HOW TO GO? Get off at Hongik University Station (Subway Line 2), Exit 9.

P1070013
Hongdae is extremely lively at night, with people walking around and performers dancing along the street as if it's an open stage. Totally love the vibe of Hongdae!
P1070019
Ending this post with a picture of me and Brown's girlfriend? HAHA

In summary,
N SEOUL TOWER → a tourist spot for photo-taking
DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA a symbolic landmark of the Korean design industry
HONGDAE
→ a shopping district with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops

NOW, WHERE TO GO? YOU DECIDE. ;)

#JCSINSEOUL DAY 5: EVERLAND THEME PARK

This post will be all about EVERLAND theme park in Seoul!! There are two different theme parks in Seoul, one being Lotte World and another being Everland. If you are wondering why I chose Everland over Lotte World, it's because Everland has more scenic spots for photo-taking lolol. Joanne has visited both the theme parks but she suggested us to go to Everland instead of Lotte World!
P1070027

HOW TO GO TO EVERLAND?
By Subway -
Transfer to Yongin Ever Line at Giheung Station on Bundang Line!

Nonetheless, it was a great day!!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading and before I end this post, here's an "Everland vlog" for y'all!!

LIFE UPDATE / THOUGHTS

I feel like it's been a long time since I last wrote about something personal, something which is related to my current life. I know, I used to come to this space and just vomit whatever it is from my mind. But recently, this space has just been bombarded with travel posts. Is it a good thing? I'm not really sure.

I'm happy to receive comments from you guys, telling me that you guys love my Korea travel vlogs and posts. I'm really happy! It makes me feel like sharing more of what I know and what I think might benefit y'all!

But as I find myself heading more to that direction, I feel like I have somehow lost connection with this blog. It sounds weird but I don't find myself thinking much about what to share on my blog next, other than my Korea trip posts. Will this blog be different or even dead after I finish blogging about my Korea trip posts? I don't know and I wouldn't want that to happen because I have dedicated so much of my time and soul into running this blog since I started it. And I wouldn't want all my effort go down the drain, into a post-terrestrial third place.

So here's just a totally random update, not only from me to you guys, but also from me to myself. Life has been hectic and a constant struggle of meeting assignment deadlines, studying and memorising the useless theories and stupid terms for finals which is less than 3 weeks away, editing and producing content on both of my blog and Youtube channel.

But I know, everything I am doing now will be worth it. All the struggles and pressure that I am feeling now will shape and determine who I am in the future. I always believe that the choices we make now will determine our destiny. Nobody has an exact plan for your future; YOU are the only one who knows what you really want in life and what you should really plan.

Alright, I shall move on with my revision. Will talk to y'all soon!

Before I end this post, here are some of the videos I produced recently:

I'm giving away some cute eyeshadow palettes in this video so go join it now and try your luck! (today is the last day of the giveaway already yo!)

Hello loves! It's been so long since I shared an "outfit post" with y'all, so today I thought I would post 4 casual and preppy looks that you can wear to college!

And the best part is, I will link all the clothes that I wear so that y'all can shop instantaneously if any of the outfits below interest you!! ;)

LOOK 1
Comes in 3 different colours, this cold-shoulder button-down dress is all you need for a preppy-school look with its cute-gridded prints and above-the-knee length!
 LOOK 2
Bomber jacket is my favourite piece ever, but wait, A REVERSIBLE BOMBER JACKET SOUNDS WAY COOLER. I love this reversible bomber jacket so much because of its 2-in-1 silhouette (that means I can get 2 different looks with only 1 piece of jacket hehehe), vintage design and its PINK SATIN layer. LIKE OMG???!!

LOOK 3
Inspired by Korean fashion, this preppy faux layered dress is a must-have!!! Yes, it's a one-piece and it will make you look like you have spent time putting 2 pieces together when you actually just slip on this dress in 3 seconds. Awesome.

LOOK 4
Not a fan of dresses? Try the tee shirt + boyfriend jeans combo! It will never go wrong! ;)

You can shop all the looks on ANTICLOCKWISE! Don't forget to quote this special code "JESSICA10" to get 10% off total bill (exclusive of sales items)!!

Last week was a pretty busy week for me as I had to attend quite a few events! So I thought I would vlog my journey and bring you guys with me!

So I attended the Laneige 3rd Generation BB Cushion launch and oh my god, have you guys checked out the packaging already? It's super beautiful with its light-reflecting casing!

The next day, my day was packed with 3 events! It was tiring as hell but it was such a fruitful day for me! I went to the Sephora Fall Press Day in the afternoon. Heck, the event was such a bomb. Jxhia actually tagged me along to this event, and when she asked me whether I'm interested to go to a Sephora event with her, I just said: "Alright, just count me in!". Little did I know, the event was actually a huge one with MANY international brands (such as Marc Jacobs, Tarte, Too Faced, GHD, IT Cosmetics, and their representatives (and even founders) introducing and having an one-to-one session with us!!! It was such an honour to be able to meet all of them as they were all so friendly and humble!! I literally spent a few good hours going around all the booths to check out their new products! And I must say, it was the most interesting event that I've ever been. I got to play around with the cosmetics while meeting new people from all over the world...I felt like I was in heaven! *tears of joy*
Thank you Jxhia and Sephora for the invitation!!

Right after the Sephora event, Jxhia and I rushed to Fahrenheit 88 for the Shu Uemura Color Atelier Launch. We were super late and sadly, we missed a show! Nonetheless, I'm glad that I made it to the event as I got to catch up with Carole and a few friends over there!

After that, we went to Pavilion for an early dinner because we didn't have lunch. Then right after that, we dashed to St.Regis Hotel for the last event of the day, which was the Buro247 Anniversary Party!

Anyway, I'll now let the video do the talking for me hahaha!

Also, I just uploaded a new video today - MY HUGE SEPHORA HAUL FT. 72 PRODUCTS IN 3 MINS) Yup, all the goodies were given to me during the Sephora Fall Press Day event *feeling super lucky*!

It's not the usual haul video where I sit down and talk about each and every product! This time around, I filmed my haul video in the stop-motion-way! After spending 2 hours standing and filming the entire video all by myself, my legs and back sore so bad. I took the entire day to film, edit and upload it to my channel soooooooo I really hope y'all like the outcome!!

If you haven't already subscribed to my channel, you totally should do it NOW because I'll be more active on Youtube from now onwards! :P

#JCSINSEOUL DAY 6: COMMON GROUND, CAFÉ DIOR, GWANGJANG MARKET, DDM MARKET

Oh hello there! Welcome back! Today I'm going to write about my 6th day in Seoul, which we visited Common Ground, Cafe Dior, Gwangjang market (all about food) and Dongdaemun market!

COMMON GROUND
Address: 200, Achasan-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul
Direction: [Subway] Alight at Konkuk University Station (Seoul Subway Line 2 or 7), Exit 6. Walk straight for about 250m, and you're already there.
P1070550
Common Ground is the first pop-up store plaza in Korea that is uniquely built with shipping containers! You can expect to find a number of hipster stores, restaurants and cafes around here!

Also, there are food trucks vending drinks and light bites!

CAFÉ DIOR BY PIERRE HERMÉ
Address: 464 Apgujeong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (located along Apgujeong Rodeo Street)
(We actually took the cab to this cafe)

P1070626
Here we were in the spectacular House of Dior with 6 freaking floors.
P1070630
On the 5th floor of the building sits Cafe Dior. The menu of Cafe Dior was exclusively curated by a very famous international French pastry chef, Pierre Hermé.
P1070632
The cafe was pretty occupied but luckily, we still managed to get ourselves a table without having to wait.
P1070674
The interior looks extremely crisp, chic and clean, accentuated with shades of grey and white.

P1070651
We had no idea what to order (to be honest, we were here mainly for the ambiance and the photo-taking potential lol), so we got ourselves some fluffy pound cakes and tea. 2 plates of not-your-usual-kind-of-cake and 2 pots of tea costed us around RM300 (which was the most expensive meal we had had in our entire trip lolol).

My verdict?
I don't think I will ever visit this cafe ever again, but don't get me wrong - the pastries and environment were perfect. It was only that I would rather spend the $$ on a lavish Korean BBQ. However, it was nonetheless a luxurious experience for us!
P1070701
What impressed me the most was actually the washroom, where you can feel free to refresh yourself with these signature Dior perfume.

P1070721
Apgujeong Rodeo Street is basically a street that houses all the luxurious brands! So if you are in a mood for hunting branded goods in Seoul...you know where to go!

GWANGJANG MARKET
Ok, after spending so much on the extremely luxurious high-tea in the afternoon, we had our dinner taken care of in the Gwangjang food market. (Why do I sound like it's a bad and sad thing hahahaha!)

Well, Gwangjang market is one of the oldest and biggest food streets in Jongno-gu, Seoul! Here, you can eat ALL the quintessential Korean food that you've been craving for all your life! (that is, if you've never been here before, like me hehe)
P1070722

P1070723
TTEOKBOKKI ANYONE?
P1070724
There are more than 200 stalls here, but most of the stalls sell similar stuffs...so imagine how competitive it is for them! :/
P1070726
We just picked stalls to buy from at random, since most of the stalls offer the same kind of food anyway, plus we couldn't quite tell which ones were better than the other.
P1070727

Tips: The food market is very crowded and packed, so be sure to carry as little things as possible, guys! Don't carry your huge shopping bags around here because you will have trouble of holding them while you eat!

DONGDAEMUN MARKET
At night, we went to Dongdaemun Market for some shopping! Dongdaemun market is one of the largest wholesale and shopping districts in Korea. And the wholesale market practically opens at NIGHT, that is from 8pm until 9am, while the retail shopping malls open from 10am to 6pm.

Did I shop a lot????
Surprisingly, NO. In my opinion, I think the clothes in Dongdaemun market are actually more expensive than the retail stores in Hongdae and Ewha University Shopping Street!!! Plus, the designs in Dongdaemun market are just so-so. Nothing really captured my eyes. For me, I would prefer shopping in Ewha University Shopping Street more!
So that's all for my sharing today!! Hope you guys enjoyed it. See you at the next one!

ME AND MY PUMA SHOES

Just in case you haven't already noticed, there's a new video on my Youtube channel!!

It's been a while since I last filmed a "lookbook" video. I've always wanted to film more lookbooks but I couldn't find a nice place / background to film. T_T

I always imagine myself living in U.K, I mean, the streets and buildings are super nice and artistic. It's like every corner and every little alley is so photogenic and hipster. And the weather is also perfect for filming (most of the time).

If you guys have any place recommendations for filming in KL, please let me know!

Anyway, back to the video, it was actually a collab between PUMA.

I've been collaborating with them since a year ago and I must say, I feel very grateful and honoured to be able to work with this brand. Every time I visit their showroom, I get super excited, because I get to see the latest collections and be one of the first fews to get my feet on them.

One of my favourite designs have got to be Puma Eskiva (Low-cut), I am sure you can see me wearing it very often in my Instagram pictures. I even wore them to my Tokyo trip this March because they are so comfortable and stylish at the same time.

Kylie in Puma Suede
I also love the Puma Suede, yup, the classic babies. Now I own about 3 pairs of them and I find them very versatile to mix-and-match with. I just love how they emanate a "hipster" vibe...if you know what I mean.

I also love, love, love Puma's sneaker wedges. I'm usually not a fan of sneakers with heels because they tend to hurt my feet after a long day. I used to own a pair of sneaker wedges from asos but they hurt af. I bought some from Taobao as well last time and I have never worn them more than twice.

BUT, honestly, Puma's sneaker wedges are the most comfortable sneaker wedges that I have ever worn. I am not sure what technology they have infused into the design of the shoes, but yup, they are comfortable af. And they make you look chio and taller, so why not?!

I also own 2 pairs of sports shoes from Puma (like the kind that you can really wear to the gym and do your intense cardio exercises). Again, nothing feels more comfortable than wearing a pair of sports shoes. They are super lightweight and they are really made for running.

THIS IS ON MY WISHLIST. It's sold out everywhere, even on Puma's official website. T_T
WANT!!

Ok. I swear my intention of this blog post was just to inform you guys that I have a new video on my Youtube channel. But I just don't know why I got so excited to share with y'all my Puma shoes collection as I write hahahaha! Anyway, do leave me a comment and tell me which Puma sneakers are your favourite!

When we finally decided that we were done touring around in Petite France, we left and took the Gapyeong shuttle bus to Nami Island!

...

NAMI ISLAND

Anyway, the Gapyeong shuttle bus DOES NOT drive you directly to Nami Island, it will drop you at a station where you can buy your ferry tickets to Nami Island.

So there are several ways that you can go to Nami Island from the station:

By ferry (just a 5-minute ride): 4000 won/person
By zipwire: 38,000 won/person

Well, since the zipwire option is so costly, we went for the first option instead.

Alright, I am going to tell you guys my unpleasant experience in Nami Island.

When I was happily taking photos around, suddenly a freaking bee-like-creature flew by and IT FREAKING STUNG ME!!! When it flew near me, I could literally hear its scary buzz, so I hauled ass!!! The moment I got stung by the creature, I was like: Oh shit, I got stung by a bee, oh shit!! It really hurt and for a while I thought I was going to die.

Okay I didn't really think I was gonna die.

I have never got stung in my life, so in the spur of the moment all I did was panic lolol. To be honest, I felt so dejected after that and all I wanted was to just leave the place.

Then, Joanne brought me to an information centre to ask for help and luckily there was a Korean girl, who can converse in Mandarin, to assist us!!

I was told that it's very common to run into insects around Nami Island, and luckily I wasn't actually stung by a bee (some other insect instead), otherwise the situation would not be the same. Then the girl helped to apply some ointment to relieve the pain and the swelling.

Untitled

Untitled

SO MY ADVICE FOR YOU IS:

Apply a bee repellent to keep the bees/insects away!!!

I don't know why it chose to sting me...I did nothing to harm it/its family. T__T
But, personally, I am very prone to mosquito bites and it seems like the mosquitoes love me more than anyone else. I'm not sure if this is why the "bee" stung me instead of anyone else?

Anyway, the incident did ruin my mood a bit, but we still tried to walk into the park again because there was still so much more to explore...you know, once bitten stung, twice shy. I was really afraid that the insect would come and attack me again and I freaked out every time I heard the buzz coming near me. Each buzz registered by my ears really did get translated to a background music cued for a psychopath's murder scene. T_T

We then quickly took a few pictures before we left lolol.

IT'S SIMPLE AS THAT

Surfing amidst waves of people, shopping bags slung over your right shoulder, heels beginning to give in to the pain of endless treading - at this point there is only one series of thoughts in your mind:

Go home.
Remove makeup.
Snuggle down in bed.

...

You can bet that anyone who applies makeup have surely known by now: the makeup removal process is potentially the most hated part of the day.

Just imagine:

You choose your ootd, you get dressed, you have a long day in school, you hang out with your friends after class, you do some shopping, you have your meals, then you feel tired, so you head home, and once you're home...

...and you still had to remove your makeup.

If removing makeup never annoyed you I am so going to send you a trophy handcrafted by yours truly.

However, thanks to the amazing scientists who work their best every single day for the betterment of us narcissistic, self-contradicting I-want-to-make-up-but-I-don't-want-to-remove-make-up kind of girls -

*inhales*

- removing makeup is no longer THAT annoying!

Introducing the UK top-selling cleansing water... *drum rolls*

Simple Micellar Cleansing Water!

Simple, the experts in sensitive skin, believes that looking and feeling good can be Simple, not complicated. If you do put on makeup but have not heard of this brand, you have no idea what you're missing out on!

Many, I say MANY Youtubers have been raving about Simple's Micellar Water, and I believe it isn't for no reason (cause y'know, Youtubers have so much money and stuff, they surely can afford to pick the best brands out there right?). So, I decided to put Simple's very own cleansing water to test, and the results... well, read on :p

Simple Micellar Water is basically a makeup remover, and it takes away the need of rinsing your face after removing make up. Not only that, it even grants a hydration boost to your beautiful face by 90%! Whilst thoroughly removing makeup and impurities, the Simple Micellar Water unclogs the pores on your skin simultaneously, letting it breathe easy.

How do they do that?

Triple purified water:
Simple infused the "purest possible water" into the Micellar Water to minimise potential in inducing irritation to your skin, which may be caused by the naughty extraneous particles or contaminants sitting on your skin.

Vitamin B3:
The magical element that restores, soften and smoothen your skin. Also the knight in shining armour for those with dry skin!

Vitamin C:
A water soluble antioxidant vitamin for your skin.

Hexylene Glycol:
The master in dissolving makeup and gently conditioning your skin.

Besides, there is 0% artificial perfume, colours or any harsh chemicals in this product!!

...

Here's what I did (and how you should use the Micellar Water):
1. Pour a generous amount of the cleansing water on a cotton pad.

2. Swipe the cotton pad over entire face to remove grime.

3. Gently wipe around closed eyes.

4. Rinse? NAH, not needed! :P

And of course, there is always a back-alley perk for the lazy girls out there:
Simply get the Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes! It comes in a really convenient pack (like wet tissue packings)!

...

My thoughts on the product?

All the hype showered on this cleansing water wasn't for nothing. It only took me a few gentle wipes to collect all the makeup on my face onto the cotton pad! With every wipe, my face felt more alive and fresh, and there wasn't a single hint of tightness!

I know.
You're itching to dash out to the market and get a bottle now.
But take these info with you!

 Micellar water (200ml) - RM22.90
Micellar wipes (25pcs) - RM22.90
(both available in major pharmacies: Watsons, Guardian, Caring)

Good news: you can get RM5 off on both the micellar wipes and water in the SIMPLE Estore by entering the code JESSxSIMPLE! Code expires in August 2016!

Okay now go get 'em!

BITS AND PIECES OF AUGUST: HONG KONG

I realised I haven't been blogging since the end of July, and I have accumulated so much to share with y'all.

So currently, I am enjoying my one-month-long semester break. It's not a super long break, but definitely not a short one either.

For those who haven't already known, I went to Hong Kong for a short vacation with my uni friends from 31st July until 4th August. Basically, it's been a hectic week for me right after I came back from my trip. I went to Mid Valley to meet some clients and collect my birthday door gifts on the 5th. Then, I attended Jay Chou's concert on the 6th. The next day, 7th August, was my birthday!! Then, on the 8th, I hanged out with a friend from Penang, basically drove all day. Then today (9th August), I went to an ATV ride to shoot for my upcoming collab video with Jxhia.

Now as I'm writing down all the events, I realised that I haven't had a proper stay-in day to laze and do nothing at all since I came back from my trip! (Mind you, I'm not complaining at all actually hahaha!)

It just excites me so much when I see my schedule is filled with different activities and events heh!!

So, how was Hong Kong?
Well, traveling with my uni friends was a hell load of fun. We had so much good food in Hong Kong! However, the weather was pretty bad and inconsistent during our journey. It was extremely hot during the first 2 days of our trip. Unfortunately, a signal 3 typhoon hit us when we were in Disneyland and we had no choice but to leave Disneyland in the afternoon. Although we did manage to go on 2 roller coaster rides, we didn't get to catch any shows, parades or firework performance, which was really dejecting! On the other days, the drizzles just go on and on, so we had to carry an umbrella everywhere we went.

It was my 3rd time traveling to Hong Kong, and to be honest, I don't think I will ever revisit this country - at least not in the near future. The main reason is due to the people there: their manners / attitude. Not intending to offend anyone, I feel like they could have been more polite and nicer. My friends (who do not speak Cantonese at all) constantly felt like they got jeered by the locals. There was once when my friend was buying the shuttle bus tickets, but she spoke Mandarin to the lady behind the counter. So as to double confirm whether the shuttle bus is the right one, I asked the lady again in Cantonese. And her response was: Haven't I already told you?? Ask so many times for what!

I was like, we're tourists and we just wanted to double confirm. She could have spoken in a more polite manner?

Not only that, we also had bad experiences with some of the waitresses. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like the way they speak is a little too straightforward and sometimes, sarcastic? But, mind you, I'm not saying that everyone in Hong Kong is rude, I have friends in Hong Kong and they are very helpful and friendly. Perhaps this is really a common thing in Hong Kong and we just had to adapt to their "culture".

Anyway, here are some of the pictures that I have taken in Hong Kong!

Will update you guys soon on Jay Chou's concert and my birthday!!

BITS AND PIECES OF AUGUST: JAY CHOU'S THE INVINCIBLE CONCERT

$

6th August 2016

Jay Chou was here in Malaysia for his tour. His concert tickets sold out in a snap, and I was terribly lucky that my friend managed to buy one VVIP ticket for me on the same day the tickets were officially for sale.

For those who haven't already known, Jay Chou has been my one and only idol since I was 10. Of course, along the way, I did idolise other celebrities but none of them could ever replace Jay Chou in my heart. He is, and always will be, my ultimate favourite.

I still clearly remember how his songs accompanied and motivated me when I was in high school. Basically, I would just listen to his songs every time when I did my revisions. Somehow his songs (and only his songs) have the power to encourage and push me forward to become better.

I have never missed any of his concerts the past 4 years.
The first Jay Chou's concert that I attended was "The Era" and that was way back in 2011!!! *baffled*
Then I also went to 2 of his "Opus World Tours" in 2013 and 2014.

After 2 years, he is finally back with a tour and of course, I did not miss the opportunity to catch him performing live. To be honest, Opus World Tour 2 was a bit disappointing, but The Invincible was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (yup, I had to)!!

The concert took place in Stadium Merdeka, but I actually preferred Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil more lolol. Anyway, there were SO MANY PEOPLE in the stadium, and we had to queue for almost half an hour before making it to our seats. Not to mention the poorly designed entrance! It was just too narrow for 2 million people to squeeze queue up and go through. It was suffocating. In Stadium Putra, I've never experienced this kind of "human-traffic congestion" at all.

But anyway, let's talk about the songs that he performed.
Not only did he perform his new songs, but he also sang so many of his classical songs which had stirred so much emotions deep in me!!! I was so surprised that he sang 以父之名,夜的第七章,将军,她的睫毛, 三年二班,半岛铁盒!!! 真的好感动.
Then there were the ones he'd always performed without fail: 开不了口,安静,晴天,屋顶,白色风车...
He also sang some of his latest hits like "Now You See Me", 床边故事,说走就走,英雄,etc.

Next, let's talk about the stage design.

One moment he brought us to a 3D fantasy visual space at the opening, then the next moment we took a dive into the underwater world when he sang 美人鱼 and in an instant, the stage transformed into a Broadway show with live bands and back-up vocalists standing in a vintage Shanghai-ish street. It was no question - all the stage effects rendered a diversity of exceptionally stunning visual experiences, and each one really took my breath away.

Now, let's talk about his ENCORE.
As usual, I crept to the very first row from my row (I was seated in row 27 in VVIP), right before the barricade in the VVIP section HAHA. That was my only chance of standing so near to him (which you can see in the videos I posted on Instagram). Watching him at such a close distance made the whole idea of time and space around me feel so surreal. I could see his face so clearly I wanted to cry. #sorry #fangirling #brb

Anyway, he sang a lot of songs this time during the encore!! It was also noticeable that he interacted with his audiences more this time. Some of the lucky fans even got chosen to sing with him! T__T
I was waving and screaming so hard, wishing that he would pick me hahaha! If I got chosen, I would definitely request to sing 我不配 or 彩虹 with him. But anyway, my man surely knows how to entertain his fans! There was a moment when he attempted to speak Cantonese, and it really cracked the audience up! He also praised us for being so enthusiastic and passionate, as always.

The concert started at 8.30pm and ended at 11pm, which was a duration much longer compared to his past concerts. Although I was drenched in sweat and I nearly lost my voice due to excessive screaming and singing, the night just didn't feel enough for me!! I wished as hell I could watch him longer. I wish time could pause and everything just stays frozen in the moment. :(

The feelings he gave me are why I made it a point to go to his concert every time.
每一次都很珍惜 因为不知道他几时会再来 也不知道他会唱到几岁
但是只要他继续唱 我也会继续听

The post-concert depression is real now. I believe everyone who went to his concert is probably feeling the same right now. For those who didn't manage to catch him live, I have compiled the clips and made a video for you guys:

#JCSINSEOUL DAY 8: EWHA UNIVERSITY SHOPPING STREET & NORYANGJIN FISH MARKET

On the second last day of our Seoul trip, we went to Ewha University as well as the shopping street right in front of it! Let me tell you, EWHA UNIVERSITY SHOPPING STREET is my ultimate favourite shopping street of all. WHY?

- DIVERSITY -
The street is loaded with boutiques selling clothes, socks, shoes, stationeries, beauty products, etc. You will be spoiled for choices. No joke.

- AFFORDABLE PRICING -
Most of the clothes are only 10,000 won per piece (which equivalent to RM35, super affordable)

I brought home soooo much clothes and socks from Ewha University Shopping Street. I seriously miss shopping there now!!

I don't know why most of the people recommend Dong Dae Mun for clothing shopping, but not Ewha. I mean, Ewha has so many more choices and is definitely cheaper than DDM!!! DDM is overrated and the clothes aren't that cute after all lolol. (Well, it's just what I think la)

I went on a crazy shopping mode in this store selling socks. The designs are just too adorable - Song Joong Ki and Big Bang!!

I bought so many socks that they could supply me for the entire year hahahahah!

After a round of insane shopping in Ewha University Shopping Street, we went to Noryangjin Fish Market for a splendid seafood dinner!

Noryangjin Fish Market is one of the largest seafood markets in Korea, and here, you can get FRESH seafood at competitive prices!

If you love seafood, you should definitely come here!
OK, SO HOW DOES THE TRADE WORK IN THIS FISH MARKET?

Firstly,
Pick the seafood you want and pay. [Do take note that most of the stalls only accept CASH]

Then,
you will be directed to a restaurant nearby, and they will cook the seafood for you.
Of course, you will have to pay for their services!

What we had:

MY 21ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!

Your girl is officially 21!!

I am super excited to blog about my birthday party!! To be honest, I have never thrown a birthday party in my life lolol. Oh wait, I actually did throw a mini birthday party in McDonalds when I was 10 lolol! Anyway, I usually celebrate my birthday only with my close friends and family, nothing fancy, nothing big.

I couldn't recall how everything came about, but back in June, my talent manager and I were talking about birthdays. Then, she asked me: "Eh, are you going to throw a birthday party this year? You are turning 21 right?"

I shook my head and said: "Aiya, no la, I don't really know how to decorate and set up everything and it requires so much time and effort to actually organise a birthday party!"

Then she said: "Oh no, this is your 21st birthday, you should definitely throw a party la!! For the decorations and everything, I will help you to contact a birthday planner to plan everything for you ok!!"

So I was like: Wow, since I have a team of professionals helping me to plan everything, WHY NOT?!!

We then approached PaperGoodz, which is a team of very nice and creative talents that specialise in events planning. PERFECT FOR LAZY (AND UNCREATIVE) PEOPLE LIKE ME.

We met up in Starbucks in late June and there, I told them about the kind of theme I want for my birthday party. Initially, I wanted to go for a "rose gold" theme but I realised that it's not really special...so I thought of going for a funkier, colourful theme. Then, I took a look at my own wardrobe and noticed that I actually have a lot of jackets and clothes with PATCHES and LOGOS. (I am a big fan of anything with patches and logos ok!!)

So yup, A THEME OF PATCHES AND LOGOS IT IS!!!

I showed them some samples of patches from Google and they told me it's a totally fresh idea to them, as they haven't actually done anything similar before! Within a few days, they started giving me a list of things that they will be preparing for my birthday party, such as a photobooth, a backdrop, a candy bar, balloons, a birthday cake and etc! I would say that they really covered most of the necessary things for a birthday, which left me with almost nothing to worry about at all. Totally hassle-free and stress-free!
When you actually have a team of creative people that work out everything for you = BAGUSNYA.

We then had a 2nd meeting just a week before my birthday to finalise everything, including the venue and the "floor map", which illustrated the exact spots where they would set up the photobooth, the tables, and etc.

FAST FORWARD TO 7TH AUGUST.

It's someone's big day. It's my big day.
Without any expectation or any idea how the party will be like, I was nervous yet extremely excited.
I wonder how the set-up would look like (I didn't know what the decoration will look like at all until I reached the venue)
I wonder how many people would turn up for the celebration.
I just couldn't help pondering about so many trivial things!

At 10.30am, my family and I headed out to the party venue, which is at Awegallery, PJ.
The reason why I chose Awegallery is because it is spacious and it can accommodate up to 60 people!

Upon reaching, I could already see the Papergoodz team buzzing about in the place, setting up and paying attention to every single detail of the decorations. I got to witness how they actually set up everything from scratch. The whole picture was as if the many hands of Maker are putting together pieces of your Puzzle of Destiny, as your dream slowly unfolds and solidifies into a formless matter marked existent by time, before your very eyes.

Yup, that's all for my birthday. It was indeed a very special and memorable one. Thank you everyone who came to my birthday, you have no idea how precious your presence means to me! Thank you so much for being a part of this.

I know I had said this a lot, but thank you thank you thank you Papergoodz for organising my birthday. Without them, this party wouldn't be a successful one. T___T If you are looking for a creative team of party / event planner, do not hesitate to contact Papergoodz. They are really passionate and good at what they are doing, which is why I enjoyed working with them so much.

And, special shoutout to Michelle, my talent manager from Nuffnang, for "convincing" me to throw a birthday party and also liaising with Papergoodz as well as Awegallery!!

Besides, I would like to thank Benefit Cosmetics and Shu Uemura for sponsoring my birthday doorgifts! These 2 brands are the brands that I adore and have been working with for years now, so it was really my honour to be able to share my love for them with all my guests!

MII HOTEL IN BANGKOK

I was so, so happy that I finally got to travel to Bangkok this year!!!!!

I had never been to Bangkok, and the idea of visiting Bangkok has been sitting in my bucket list for the longest time. All my friends who have been to this city kept telling me how interesting and fun their trip was, which only added to my anticipation for this long-awaited trip!

Actually, my trip to Bangkok was a last-minute decision. It so happened that Jestinna and I were talking about traveling, Bangkok's shopping experience and food, then we were like omg: since both of us are on holiday now, let's go to Bangkok!!

We booked our flight tickets and hotel 4 days prior to the trip, and I'm glad that we found this new hotel called MII HOTEL in Bangkok, which I will be sharing with y'all in this post!

P1110006
Just testing my camera lens and see whether it's working hahaha!
P1110576
Yes, here we were - Mii Hotel, Srinakarin.
How to go to Mii Hotel from the airport?
Without much consideration, we went for the easiest approach: Uber! It took us about 40 minutes to reach the hotel, and it only costed us around 445baht (around rm52)!

P1110578
It doesn't really have a typical hotel-exterior, but it just somehow emanates an aura of home - it almost feels like I have been away for a long time, and this place has been awaiting my return.
P1110580
With the friendly staffs from Mii Hotel!!
P1110633

P1110018
There is a public swimming pool at the 5th floor!

Alright, so there are 6 different room types in Mii Hotel: Standard, Balcony, Pool Junior, Garden, Suite, Pool Suite.

Ours was the Pool Suite, and needless to say: it was splendid. Well, I'll let the photos do the talking!
P1110010
First, there's a bathtub and it's super clean and white omggggg.
P1110011
I extremely love toilets that look bright and immaculate, just like this one!
P1110012
If you don't feel like using the bathtub, no worries, there's a shower too!
P1110013
Storage, storage and storage! Keeps your room neat, tidy and mess-free throughout your stay!
P1110014
And our bed - IT. WAS. SO. COMFORTABLE. I had no problem falling asleep at all, and I never wanted to leave the bed in the morning.
*cues Maroon 5 - Never Gonna Leave This Bed*
P1110015
A grey-toned chair that gave the room a firm, but comfortable modernistic-aesthetic push.
P1110017
Yup, a balcony for you to sip on a good cuppa at night! (Don't think anyone would want to sit here in the afternoon because it's actually quite hot hahaha)
P1110022
This room has totally taken the emphasis of wooden furniture to the next level. As you can see, there's a wooden table and chair for you to do your makeup, curl your hair, eat your cup noodles -literally do whatever you want while basking in a artsy laid-back atmosphere.
P1110023
The TV (that we never watched) hahaha!
P1110025
This is the #ootd reception area. I'm totally in love with the woody interiors accentuated with grey-based palettes and also marble textures. I see it as a subtle combination of luxury and humility, don't you think so?
P1110026
The cafe - one that is sure to plant itself permanently in your bed of memories. At least it made me feel that way, upon the very first glance of its elegance.
P1110094

P1110098
With its beautiful and minimal interior, this hotel has officially become Jestinna's favourite spot for #ootd's.
P1110027

Now that I have walked you through the interior of this hotel, I will now talk about its location.

Mii Hotel is located in Srinakarin, which is within a stone's throw from Seacon Square, a shopping mall. However, it's quite far from the more touristy spots like Siam, Platinum Mall, Chatuchak, etc. Its nearest BTS station is the Bang Na station, but to cover the distance between the hotel and the BTS station, it is recommended to catch a cab.

So we pretty much Uber-ed every day during our trip, but I feel that it wasn't a problem at all because it's super easy to request for Uber in Bangkok!!! MORE IMPORTANTLY, IT'S VERY AFFORDABLE.

So why bother walking+bathing in perspiration+squeezing among other patrons in the BTS when you can sit and relax behind a driver who takes you right to your destination?

BANGKOK TRAVEL DIARY: DAY 1 & 2

Hi guys! I finally have the time to blog about my Bangkok trip!! Just in case you didn't know, I traveled to Bangkok for 4 days with my girl-friend, Jestinna last month! It was such a fun-filled trip and now I can't wait to go back again!!

So on the 1st day of our trip, we went to the famous Chatuchak weekend market. We arrived Bangkok on Sunday, and by the time we were done settling into the hotel, it was already 4pm+. Jestinna told me that Chatuchak market only opens until 6pm, so we had very limited time to explore the market :(

We reached Chatuchak market at 5pm...and guess what? We only had 1 hour to shop lol. 1 hour was definitely not enough for us, because there were SO MANY shops!! By the end of the first day, we already bought more than 10 pieces of clothes from Chatuchak market alone! HAHA!

To be honest, of all places that I went in Bangkok, Chatuchak market was the best. They offer a huge array of up-to-trend garments at very affordable prices! How affordable, you ask? The clothes that I got costed not more than RM40 each!!

P1110031
So this is how Chatuchak market looks like!
P1110030
Look at how they mix and match the clothes on the right!!! SO NICE!
P1110033
Jestinna and I LOVE this shop called KADANG - everything is only 200baht!
P1110078
Chic sunglasses up for grabs!
P1110083
Travelling tip in Chatuchak market: Wear light, keep yourself hydrated, put on a pair of shades!
P1110085
Mini ice-cream with colourful sprinkles! What a cute and perfect way to beat the heat!
P1110086
Love the fashion yo.
After shopping in Chatuchak market, we took the BTS to SIAM PARAGON for dinner!

P1110087
Beef fried rice
P1110088
TomYUM soup. *geddit?* I, REALLY, MISS, THIS!
P1110089
Finally I got to try the famous Shibuya toast in After You!!!
P1110090
Met up with my friend, Charmayne, who was also in Bangkok that time hahahah!

DAY 2
Rise and shine! On the 2nd day, we went to Em Quartier, Platinum Mall, Pratunam Market and Hello Kitty House!!

Em Quartier is basically a shopping mall that houses plenty of luxurious brands. We went there not for shopping, but for Bon Chon Chicken (it's something like Kyochon chicken lol).

P1110136

P1110137
Feeling hungry already? :p
P1110169

P1110193

After lunch, we went to Platinum Fashion Mall, which is a wholesale shopping mall. I didn't manage to take any photo, but there were some snippets of the mall in my vlog!!

But, frankly speaking, Platinum Mall is overrated lolol. I only managed to get 2 pieces of clothes because the clothes they sell in Platinum Mall don't really suit my style, and the few that suit my style were overpriced. In my opinion, Chatuchak market is way better! :P

P1110222
Have been dying to go to the Hello Kitty House in Bangkok, and I finally made it omg!!
P1110231
The cafe was so well-furnished with the HELLO KITTY theme!! (lol, the hello kitty cafe in Sunway Pyramid is nothing compared to this, #sorrynotsorry)
P1110235

P1110258

P1110264
We went to After You for bingsu after dinner, and it was really good omg!!! No wonder After You is always full-housed!!
OK actually I made a Bangkok vlog too, so feel free to check it out!!

We decided to have some kind of "retreat" after 2 days of intense shopping and go for cafe-hopping instead on the 3rd day of our trip.

To my surprise, Bangkok is actually much more than just shopping and Thai food! There are actually A LOT of cafes in Bangkok to explore. We managed to visit 3 cafes, get some good Thai massage in a spa nearby, and spent our night in Asiatique.

BREKKIE ORGANIC CAFE
6/9 Soi Promsri Sukhumvit 39 Klongtan Neau Wattana Bangkok
P1110267
Take a break & have a brekkie.
P1110268
Many thanks to this girl right here for doing all the research on where to have a nice brunch / tea.
P1110269
This place just makes me feel so calm, relaxed and serene with the morning sunshine casting through the windows.
P1110273
We ordered an Acai bowl, and it was huge. It was my first time having an Acai bowl despite having been exposed to its photos for countless of times on Instagram. Do I like it? Yes! I actually enjoyed it a lot, and it was definitely a healthy and tasty option to kick-start a beautiful morning afresh.
P1110274
A peculiar looking cup of blue tea which was practically tasteless.

P1110281
Who loves the decoration like we do?
GRAM CAFE
1/F, 49 Terrace, Sukhumvit Soi 49, Bangkok, Thailand

P1110284
Moving on, we had a satiable lunch at Gram cafe, which is just 10-15 minutes away from Brekkie Organic Cafe.
P1110311
Jestinna's Bacon Aglio Olio
P1110313
My Soft Shell Crab Burger. It was really delicious and I'm totally craving for it right this moment.
D’ARK
Piman 49 - Sukhumvit Soi 49, Bangkok 10110 Thailand

After lunch, we walked to D'ARK Cafe (which was just a 5-min walk from Gram) for some dessert and coffee. By the way, they do serve main courses too!

P1110320
P1110322
Weird-looking sorbet that we couldn't manage to finish.
P1110324

P1110326

P1110333
After that, we treated ourselves to an one-hour spa, which obviously made us feel much rejuvenated!
P1110334

P1110358
Then, we Uber-ed the way to Asiatique. You can actually get there via BTS and then the boat, but at that juncture we were just too lazy to walk anymore. LOL.
P1110347
There are more than 40 restaurants in Asiatique, and of course, we opted for Thai food since it was already our last night in Bangkok!!
P1110350
Seriously, I need to go back to Bangkok soon. I really can't emphasis enough how much I miss the heavenly Tomyam soup and Pandan Chicken!!
P1110360
Before we left, we stumbled upon a store that sells snacks and we were happy that we bought some popular local snacks (such as dried mango, Thai instant noodles, Thai Pocky, etc) home!!
